I think you've taken what I said personally. Don't. That wasn't my intention.
When I say that I love football, but hate the fans, I was deliberately making an inflammatory point.
Obviously I don't hate fans of football, I just hate the pack mentality and blind devotion to what is basically a money making machine.
When I hear you lot talking about the money side of the game, my cringe bone snaps! Just as it does when a follower of a rival team says crap like "you played really well today, well done, we were poor" or " you lot spent £££ on blah blah! You're a joke"
I've visit this site every single day, and have done for the last 3 years, because I like the silly banter and rumours. But bugger me sideways, you all get far too concerned about what is effectively a massive money making machine. They don't care about you.
Fans have made the sport as big as it is, but I fear you've created a monster.
I'm not having a go. Just saying.

When I read conversations like this, it reminds me how much I love football, but hate the fans.
I saw a video on facebook earlier, in which a player got knocked out. The title of the video was "footballer saves an opponents life" or words to that effect. What made me chuck my breakfast up, was that all the comments read like this.
"Liverpool fan here, great to see stuff like this blah blah"
Or
"I'm a spurs fan, but even i can appreciate what that player did"
The comments were like this for about 90 % of the thread.
Wtf is the matter with football fans?
You're just blindly following a business! None of you lot have anything to do with "the club".
It's embarrassing guys. The whole "we, us, you" thing kills me inside.
Manchester United do not care about you, stop thinking that it's "you're club". Just enjoy football for what it is. All you do is "follow" a team.
Can't wait for the "utd is my life" brigade to reply.

Ryan Giggs is destined for failure unfortunately. It doesn't matter what club he goes to, the emphasis from both fans of football and the media will always be placed on him instead of the results. For example, if he got the Swansea gig, it would always be "Ryan Giggs first game in charge ends with win/ loss/ draw instead of "Swansea beat blah blahh" and that will continue throughout the season. He's ****ed.
