According to sky, chelsea have opened talks to sign juan cuadrado. That's not good news for us. If we want to sign him we better bid for him soon. Do you see this happening Ed002?

Sky sports have removed benatia story. Are we still interested or do they do this regularly . Late last night they said he had landed . please someone reply.

1.) It hasn't been removed, I'm literally reading it now.

2.) They haven't removed it wilf just saw it 2 mins ago on sky sports keep the faith we will bring it 3-4 players before deadline

3.) Jim White is about as reliable as a tissue umbrella.

5.) The story is still there I just checked however it's no longer headline news so it's only available on the SkySports Your club section. Hope this helps, short of that the only advice I can offer is; what will be will be!

6.) Skysports haven't removed this story. Whether he is flying to manchester to hold talks are true or not I don't know. I don't believe these bayern rumours I think its just the media putting 2 + 2 together and getting 7 because of martinez injury. On the flip side i'm on the fence about the benatia to MU rumours as sky are just another media outlet

7.) Sly Spurts is only a mouthpiece for Sly Bets - they are trying to drum up money from betting - they no nothing more than the average journo, particularly the awful Jim White.

Roma are not hard pressed financially. My guess is that getting them to accept an offer is going to be harder than agreeing terms with the player.

Roma have spent quite a bit of money in recent years & in this transfer window. I wouldn't imagine they will be easier to negotiate with, than Dortmund have been over Hummels.

Its one of those 50/50's however. Roma's sporting director Sabatini seems to be a bit of a wheeler dealer. He has a track record of making good investments and sales for Serie A clubs;

Kolarov and Lichtsteiner. Combined fee of 1.7 million euros at Lazio - sold for 28 million euros.

Javier Pastore and Simon Kjaer. Combined fee of 9 million euros at Palermo - sold for 55million euros.

Marquinhos and Erik Lamela at Roma. Combined fee of 22.7 million euros - sold for 61.4 million euros.


Benatia would have a place in that portfolio too having arrived for 13m euros. Sabatini's forecast 2-3 months ago however was 61 million euros for Benatia!

Looking at his previous record, the deal is perhaps more possible than the statement suggests. Lamela and Marquinos were sold to big clubs afterall at reasonable prices.

Theres still quite a difference between 30m euros however, and the 60m he apparantly wants. I don't think its a good idea to get hopes up yet. It sounds as though there's a midpoint here, - perhaps around the £30m mark. Will LVG and Woodward pay that type of money for the player? I don't really know enough about Benatia to have an idea. He joined Roma last season. Anyone here been watching Serie A?

Guys rumours surfacing that we might make a cheaky bid for mangala and Alexis Sanchez. I heard this from my friend whos uncal is an agent of quite a few high profile players

Herrera and Baines/Coentrao? Barkley? {Ed004's Note - Yes two signings hopefully Herrera and Coentrao. Would love a move for a winger like Di Maria unlikely tho}

3.) What's New . Moyes only makes cheeky bids . now clubs are aware of this so up goes the price . Think the days of cheeky bids are a thing of the past .

Hi there. I would just like to send a message to ed 002 on the behalf of most people on the Manchester United rumours page. I have been a reader of this site for years and it is never the same without ed 002. There is no one better who knows what he's talking about and is always reliable. Yes totally agree, very informative is Ed2, let's us be privvy to things we normally wouldn't, doesn't need to provide it so is greatly missed on here I think. There is lots of info through the other pages aswell which is interesting also.

I think most of us miss the great info.
Nevertheless all the other eds give us as much as they can.

Marcos Rojo has just said he is delighted to be joining Manchester United . He also thanked sporting. He did this on a Argentinian radio station. I got information from sky sports, BBC . If u want look for yourselfs.

Ed002 has confirmed the bid on four or five occasions now and yet people keep asking if a bid was made. It's no wondered he/she gets fed up with us!

What I don't get is why nobody has asked the outcome of the bid yet. Is it still being considered? Are negotiations ongoing? These might be useful questions to ask, perhaps.
