Zlatan has just confirmed on his instagram account his next destination is utd.

Not a rumour. nor a surprise but at least he has confirmed!

Absolutely delighted to see that Ibrahamovitch has finally confirmed he will sign; presumably on or after 1st July. I remain concerned that it appears to take Mr Woodward so long to clinch new signings. Patience is not one of my virtues.

2.) 30 Jun 2016 18:01:01
That signing was confirmed weeks ago Setter but as I and a few others said, he wasn't signing until 1st of July due to the bonus he was due from PSG. Besides, noones there at Utd yet anyway so there was never a rush.

{Ed002's Note - He wasn't signing because the transfer window isn't open.}

I know this is a rumour site and this isn't a rumour but i'm getting a little nervous, all seems to have gone quiet. can the eds, if possible, confirm any discussions/bids for the likes of Shneiderlin/Ramos/Coleman etc. I know it's a bit premature to get nervous but I thought our activity this summer would be quick. thanks a lot

ish1982

{Ed004's Note - Obviously the club are working on signings}

1.) 02 Jul 2015 15:26:02
We have Sneijder and Vidal signed up, I saw them getting out of a car on ASDA car park opposite the Trafford Centre, but we are waiting until 1st August so they can wear the Adidas kit.

2.) 02 Jul 2015 15:40:34
im not nervous in the slightest, every time i see someone asking about transfers i just thank my lucky stars i support manchester united and not someone like aston villa and that new arrivals are imminent.

3.) 02 Jul 2015 16:31:37
GDS2, are you the joker of the castle ?!

4.) 02 Jul 2015 19:30:54
Forget player signings. We have not announched any sponsorship deals in ages what is ed up too

5.) 02 Jul 2015 16:55:31
Much appreciated ed004, I know it was a bit of a daft question 2 days into the window. I guess I just thought the leg work was done and that a couple more faces would be confirmed 1st July.
keep up the good work eds and posters alike

6.) 02 Jul 2015 21:18:42
I've got Ronaldo locked in my attic where's he surviving the summer working his way through breaking bad and sopranos boxsets and bacon sandwiches. Ed says he'll be round to collect him 2 days before the tour starts.

Dortmund must have at least 3 players that would compliment our squad, I assume nobody was pursued in the return of Kagawa? I would have given 5-10 million plus Kagawa for hummels.

ish1982

1.) I would of offered Kagawa + 10 or 15 million!

2.) I know what you're saying, i'm going on the assumption that Kagawa is worth 15-20 million.

3.) That would mean hummels is valued at 11 to 16 million. never going to happen and more like 25 to 30 I would think and probably still no interest from dortmund to sell.

4.) Still don't think it would be enough to part with hummels.

Id imagine 20-25 plus kagawa

5.) What is this obsesion with using our players as bargaining tools? We need to clear out our squad in the most businesslike manner possible and that's the bottom line

6.) Doesn't mean the club wants to sell them

7.) Manutd so stupid sell kagawa rather than mata. mata not like fabregas or even kroos. he just from spain. we just buy rubbish from chelsea. if he good mourinho not fool enough to sell him to rival. kagawa is creative and even can score. In burnley, mata shoot like homerun we donot play baseball even can't create anything or good run. Overrated player (rooney, mata). if manutd sold januzaj and zaha, then we can just hoping to play in premier league again next season. Stupid manu.

{Ed004's Note - it is manutd or Manchester United}

Jones to Stoke gathering a bit of pace. Assistant manager, I believe, has said he hopes a deal can be struck.
Does this mean a centre half coming in (Fonte) or will we see TFM and Tuanzebe push into the first team frame?

I am a little confused so would greatly appreciate the knowledge of some posters or eds. there are rumours still going around that we may look to sign player A, B or C. with the European windows closed, can players still be signed? e.g. Griezman? (not saying we will sign him). thanks in advance.

ish1982

{Ed002's Note - The window is still open in England, so yes.}

Sly sports (Ballague) reporting that City have made a bid for Pedro. can any EDS or posters confirm this? it would be a shame to miss out on him because we haggled over 10 bob and a conker!

ish1982

1.) 14 Aug 2015 18:18:11
I don't get how now City are in for him people are upset about it, but when it looked certain he'd sign he wasn't good enough.

2.) 14 Aug 2015 19:13:16
I hope he is right and city sign him up, but it's likely more rubbish from Sly in attempt to generate more bets. Balague talks crap 95% of the time. He also has such a smug face on when he finally gets one right (see youtube of him "breaking" the ADM story last year). Really makes you want to punch him in the face

Real have signed goalkeeper Kiko Casilla (I believe from Espanyol). Can we now assume they are prepared to wait until next summer for big Dave? do any of the eds or posters think we can tie De Gea to a new deal by then?

ish1982

1.) 17 Jul 2015 18:49:56
Hopefully we get De Gea to sign a new deal

Evening Eds and all, I don't 100% understand the transfer window opening times, can I assume that the window is currently open for a player to move clubs across Britain but not from the continent to Britain at present? I guess I'm kind of hoping our activity will ramp up once that window opens? which would lead me to assume our targets (if any) are currently playing abroad. keep up the good work.

ish1982

{Ed001's Note - players can move their registration within their FA now, so you can complete a deal with say Aston Villa with immediate effect. If they are moving from outside the same FA, then the window opens on 1st July. So you could not complete a deal for a defender from Celtic until then, for example, or the Depay deal, which will not actually be officially done until that date. You can submit the paperwork to be processed on the 1st though, which is what happened in the case of Depay.}

1.) 24 Jun 2015 18:54:34
That a hint ed?

{Ed001's Note - if I say yes Ed007 will have a coronary which is very tempting, but sadly right now you have not looked at him. Once the keeper situation is sorted, I expect the defence to be the next priority though I have no idea who it will be now Hummels and Garay are out of the running. I will have to chase it up and find out who else is targeted, I have not had a chance recently.}

2.) 24 Jun 2015 19:18:00
Fair enough ed, thanks for the info.

VP, Henrikh Mkhitaryan is being heavily linked, he could be the ride sided attacker we crave.

I don't know who is running the show but I do know something isn't right, whether its the coaching, the players, the quality.
One thing I'd love to see is someone get up from that bench, stand in the technical area and say something every now and then instead of sitting there whispering to one another and jotting on a clip board.
I know not all managers are the same, but I love that Jose, Jurgen, Pep etc are pitch side dictating. If something isn't right, they are there waving, whistling, doing something to make it right.
I may get slaughtered for this but it's so frustrating at present.

Casper is a good keeper with good distribution, much like David De Gea.
Personally, and this is assuming DDG leaves, I'd go for Jack Butland. a very good young keeper with good all round ability. opinion only.
