Evening,

Have we improved during the transfer window? I think so.

The main thing I wish for this season is that 50, 000 of the day trippers at old Trafford find a way to actually join in the chants. It's embarrassing to watch the fans sit there doing nothing.

Rant over, bring on Sunday!

I couldn't agree more on this one, it's a real shame.

Yes we have improved. the defence. Which is lucky because I expect the defence to be extremely busy repelling the hordes overrunning the midfield.

I've been a reader of this site for quite a while and a lot of great info is provided.

I had a season ticket, had sky sports, MUTV and BT TV.

I'm 43 and have supported United since I can remember and I always will.

What I'm starting to see is a lot of plastic fans that are the type who boo our players at matches etc. We're a great club with great history and for those that remember we didn't always win everything.
I'm proud to be a United fan, just get behind the team and stop reading Twitter and Facebook.

I'm actually really happy that the club are starting to bring in youth rather than names that are only after £400k a week and don't care who they play for.

Anyway, my ramble is how I feel and I can't wait for the season to start.

{Ed0333's Note - I wish I was 43! Those halcyon days when you didn’t have to get up 5 times a night for a pee. More pertinently I think if a club ever needed a revised blueprint it’s you guys. The caveat to you’re post is if you sign McGuire he’s not young and he’s not on scant wages.

1.) 28 Jul 2019 22:49:35
I’m not really sure I agree with that signing if it happens but the club know more than I do. I think 🤔.

2.) 28 Jul 2019 23:28:38
Bloody hell I replied to the wrong post 😂.

Redtherapist. Happens as you get old PMSL.
mufcmad. I know what you mean. I'm 65 and can remember us being relegated from the old first to second division. You're quite right there were times we weren't winning everything! Some perspective is needed for the plastics you refer to. Be disappointed when we aren't or a player isn't performing as hoped or expected. But booing one of our own? Disgraceful.

Hi,
With Newcastle buying Joelinton for £40m does anyone think that Longstaff is on his way with Newcastle using the transfer fee to purchase Joelinton?

It’s a bit odd that they let Benítez go and then break their transfer record by some margins. There’s a rumour that Benitez thought he was over priced but they bought him anyway.

2.) 24 Jul 2019 06:47:58
I think they've bought the wrong player and actually wanted Joe Linton at Carlisle.

3.) 24 Jul 2019 09:00:55
He is a forward player with seven goals and five assists last season.
£40 for him shows how much inflated current market is.

Wan bissaka looks so cheap now basically we have robbed Crystal palace.

4.) 24 Jul 2019 14:19:53
£50m for a player with 1 year senior experience. It's a bit premature to say we have robbed the selling club.

No doubt AWB will be a great player for us but let's not put the weight of the world on the young boy's shoulders.

Neil united looking for anything more than the price of a pogba haircut for rojo is the measure of how inflated the market is.

Hi all,

My first post to this great forum.

It looks as though we will get Di Maria but at a stupid price.
I know we always end up paying more because we are United but if reports of £75m are true that is just mental.
As for the match yesterday,awful/lazy/slow/boring/amateur.
It's time the players reflect their wages and pull their fingers out.

mufcmad

1.) Its £63.9m including add-ons mate, according to several sources. A lot of money, but seeing Young and Valencia stinking the place up yet again yday, it's money well spent.

We still need a CM badly though.

2.) 25 Aug 2014 11:47:05
They aren't true. It's just over 60 and that's with add ons. Enjoy us signing top players and stop moaning when we do.

3.) 25 Aug 2014 13:56:04
Haha one minute we don't spend enough, then when we finally throw enough money at a club to secure a quality signing we could really use people still moan. I just don't understand, is moaning really that satisfying?

I'm also sad he has gone but it's good to see new faces come in. Hopefully we will start winning some games after all of the money that has been spent.

Also a few managers that couldn’t or weren’t aloud to manage etc.

I’m hopeful for a better season this season.

We will see.

Birmingham scares the life out of me even though I have family down there.
We were doing a TV show down there and it was a Birmingham vs Villa match day and the bullring shopping centre turned into a war zone after the match had finished.
Police were everywhere trying to break it up, there must have been around 200 people in a mass brawl.
