Numerous reports that a deal to sign Bryan Mbeumo has been finally agreed with Brentford.
Really hope it is true and the deal can be completed as soon as possible.
Let's get moving on to other target's.

14 Jul 2025 18:39:18
With RA desperate to work ad long as possible with the squad before the season starts I wonder how many more signings we will make apart from Mbuemo?
I think withing the next ten we will have at least two more players in and see three out. Then in last week of the window can see one or two more leaving like Rash and Garna for way below what we should have got a d maybe one more incoming.
What are your thoughts?

14 Jul 2025 18:44:31
From what I've seen, somebody faked an Ornstein update on Reddit about an agreement being reached, and that, along with Brentford's interest in Omari Hutchinson, has triggered an almighty finger-wriggle.
I do hope I'm wrong, but I smell poo.

14 Jul 2025 18:52:46
Some no name on twitter dropped it. Apparently bs. But it’s ok we’ve only been negotiating for 42 days so loads of time left.
3
14 Jul 2025 21:30:39
The biggest Mbeumo news today is that he’s reported back to training. Which, as a Brentford player he should rightly do.
I get the feeling we’re making a hash of this deal.
2
15 Jul 2025 03:27:28
Reports now that Brentford will only sell one of Mbuemo and Wissa. Some people are also speculating that the reason we’re dragging our heels is because we didn’t want to pay Mbeumo’s wages for June. Ridiculous if true.

It looks like Mbueno has been nailed on late this afternoon and istravelling to Sweden on saturday.

14 Jul 2025 22:47:22
Don't think we're interested. He's just an mkinder.

14 Jul 2025 14:06:52
Axel Tuanzebe apparently suing MUFC for 'clinical and medical negligence' during his time with us.
1
14 Jul 2025 22:12:01
I hope this doesn’t get settled and goes to court. Will be interesting to see what the medical department have been up to as we seem to have a significant number of injuries that never healed.
0
14 Jul 2025 22:44:41
Can't see this claim having any legs. This isn't an arms length doctor patient relationship, it's a club doing its best to look after an employee's health. The medical staff may not have been as competent as at other clubs, but even assuming they actually have a duty of care beyond their best ability to deal with a player's injury with it being in the interests of both player and club that they were successful, negligence would seem incredibly difficult to prove.

Is there any actual interest in the Norwegian defender Eivind Helland?
Man Utd representatives was at the match yesterday for a closer look apparently.
1
12 Jul 2025 19:18:32
Onana potentially out for 8 weeks, will miss the pre-season tour and likely the start of the season.
Means moving him on is now unlikely, but hopefully this accelerates the move for a new GK.
6
13 Jul 2025 09:29:06
Hopefully Vitek is given a chance.
4
13 Jul 2025 11:19:31
I’m not up to speed on what we have youthwise, but it’s the one position where you absolutely need experience. Hopefully it’s only for a couple of games (supposedly touch and go for Arsenal) . Happy to throw Heaton in but I guess it will be Bayindir.
1
13 Jul 2025 11:27:12
It was a shame when Bayindar got injured after the Arsenal heroics. I had hoped he would have been given a run in the first team.
When he did come back he didn't look too great. However, with pre season fine him a chance to shine, he must graps at the nettle with both hands.
The same will go for Vitek and possibly Heaton. We don't really have a n0 1 pick as GK.
1
13 Jul 2025 14:00:22
Heaton is the most reliable of the lot.
3
13 Jul 2025 20:43:41
I’d give Hojlund a go. He seems to be a natural at keeping the ball out of the net.
12
12 Jul 2025 18:04:09
New sponsor for the training kits will be announced soon, anyone got an inkling?
0
12 Jul 2025 21:23:30
Really couldn't care as long as it covers the £24m p/ a we lose by not having one.
0
13 Jul 2025 14:07:50
listening to stefan borson on radio talking about chelsea and Villa having to get creative to avoid psr issues. with our lack of funds can't SJR / INEOS step forward with a 2 year deal at 40-50 mill a year to sponsor the training kit . even if he takes it out again through the back door in the near future?
0
13 Jul 2025 14:44:57
BWB
Sponsorship from owners via their other companies will have FFP implications, and the EPL will also scrutinise the arrangement to ensure fair market value is upheld, so I can't see a way of INEOS successfully stimulating the coffers with an artificial undertaking of that type.
Ideal world scenario that would already be a standard reality throughout the game were it not for the conditions that must be met.
0
13 Jul 2025 15:12:38
Thanks ork.
0
14 Jul 2025 18:36:50
Fair Market Value for Utd sponsorship would be up there any sports club.
I’d suggest INEOS won’t get involved with sponsorship as they are a minority shareholder. A great sponsorship deal with INEOS could increase the cost to buyout glazers and the sponsorship directly lines their pockets.

12 Jul 2025 14:34:49
Onana injured for a few weeks and will miss the tour. might be a blessing that and force our hand in the gk department at least. Although Vitek is rated so might see how he does.
1
{Ed077's Note - Elyh Harrison is highly thought of too no? Super young, even more so for a GK.
5
12 Jul 2025 15:58:35
Forgot about him, cheers ed. Talk of victor from botafogo too. TBH both our senior keepers are crap and need replacing…. here’s hoping.
2
12 Jul 2025 16:13:09
Well, we won't be finding a buyer for him then. ☹️.
0
12 Jul 2025 17:27:57
Ork looks like Onana caught the jones disease…injured during the window 😂.
1
12 Jul 2025 17:55:35
Ah yes, a bad case of the Philly-Fibs. 😄.
2
12 Jul 2025 18:55:30
Safest place for him to stay, he will be on injury table till window closes!
1
12 Jul 2025 19:20:31
If we have Harrison and Vitek, both of which are more than capable GKs, do we need a new shiny one, or, do we get them to compete for the two available spots.
The counter argument is we need an experienced head, my counter to that is Onana and Bayendir are experienced heads and they are crap.
4
13 Jul 2025 05:22:36
We certainly need an experienced GK, we can’t go into the season with a couple of kids, that would be utterly ridiculous, I appreciate you wanting to to play the kids, but come on your now saying let’s go for inexperience in goal, Zirkee our number 9, use kids in middle of park too, it’s lovely idea and would be a great story for the press United playing in the championship the following season!
0
{Ed077's Note - Heaton's there 😁
2
13 Jul 2025 07:27:29
Our only two periods of sustained success came from playing kids.
0
13 Jul 2025 10:07:14
Never played them in goal. Neither of those will be our 1st choice keeper I'm pretty sure of that i doubt either of them will be 2nd choice either.
0
13 Jul 2025 14:16:19
Why not let them fight it out for a spot as part of the three GKs, assuming Bayendir is leaving. Clearly Onana is not leaving now.
Pretty decent incentive for them both.
1
13 Jul 2025 14:47:55
Maybe so, but never played a kid GK in any of those teams and your also looking back in time, there is talk of Vitek going down to championship for season long loan, so not sure RA shares your thinking that he is ready for the EPL, how on earth can you chuck a totally rookie GK in a team that’s already under huge pressure before a ball is kicked and behind a totally unsettled defence, that is also injury prone, slow and ponderous what a recipe for disaster that would be let alone killing a kids confidence before career even started….
Onana is bad enough at this level and he is a full of confidence personality!
You must want us relegated as you don’t want us signing a striker either! Wow.
0
13 Jul 2025 22:30:33
Is the defence as U settled as you suggest?
Maybe they are ready, maybe not, pre-season will help find that out.
We are battling for is table.
0
14 Jul 2025 00:10:37
We have a GK coach, I assume. who is more than capable of determining if either of these two, or the other stock we have in youth ranks, is ready to be exposed at this level.
My opinion is that if you are good enough, you are old enough, irrespective of your position.
I'm merely suggesting we throw down the gauntlet to the youth and say 'this is an opportunity to stake a claim in the first team setup'.
Some will thrive in that environment, others will crumble, at least given them exposure to the first team setup during preseason to see if any of them have what it takes to step up, is not the worst decision in the world.
The worst case scenario is that none of them are ready and they will understand that and loan would probably be warranted. Best case, one of them steps up and pushes Onana when he returns from injury for the number 1 spot.
1
11 Jul 2025 10:32:53
Manchester Evening News reporting Hansi Flick wants Rashford at Barcelona for £44.8 million.
Hopefully this will materialise and funds will be available to finalise Mbeumo deal.
5
11 Jul 2025 12:29:48
Highly doubt it. Much more likely that this is more PR from Rashford.
7
11 Jul 2025 12:39:35
I’d be amazed if Barcelona signed Rashford and by the time they do will Mbeumo still be available?
My prediction Rashford, Sancho and Antony will all go out on loan right at the end of the window.
7
11 Jul 2025 12:42:44
🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞.
1
11 Jul 2025 13:59:17
No way in the world are Barcelona going to spend any transfer fee on Rashford. In my opinion.
As above this will be his own PR team leaking made up stories to just get his name out there.
I’d be surprised if Barcelona had £40m.
5
11 Jul 2025 16:11:35
Nah all be gone way before end of August Alib. Rashford probably last. Anthony will go betis, sancho unfortunately will fet his 5m from utd to get him off juve. Rashford will go somewhere but I doubt it will be 40m, more like 25m.
0
11 Jul 2025 19:54:31
Barca want him on a free loan…. thatll help us. Why do all clubs come to us cap in hand like they’re broke the. Spend millions elsewhere! Joke.
3
11 Jul 2025 22:46:24
Given we’ve got no incomings, Rashford is still our best bet as striker. Shake hands, grow up, and let’s get playing some football.
3
12 Jul 2025 08:56:27
Rashford is not our best bet, attitude is all wrong. Has to go, no shaking hands until he signs for someone else.
4
12 Jul 2025 09:32:53
We need to move on all of Sancho, Rashford and Garnacho. All three are very talented players capable of doing very well. But there attitudes are all wrong, and I don't think they will be able to have an overall positive impact on the team this coming season if they stayed.
While they might be able to have some positive impacts on the pitch if they get their heads in the right place and we're used correctly, the negative impact they would have on the squad overall would outweigh the positives.
It's really important that we have a squad of players with the right attitudes next season, everyone has to want to be here and be dedicated to doing their best here for the club. We can't have players having a strop if they don't start (which will happen more often given we have no European football) .
Most seasons we tend to play close to 60 games, which is a potential 5400 minutes available. Next season it'll probably be around 45 games if we have good domestic cup runs. Which is 4050 available minutes.
What we don't want next season are players who are really only good enough as squad players, but who think they should be guaranteed starters. As with the reduced number of games then the reality is they will be lucky to start 10 games, and their egos will not be able to handle that. Which will almost certainly lead to them creating a bad atmosphere.
What we need next season is a really good core of 15 or 16 players who are good enough to be first choice, and they will start the majority of games. The rest of the squad has to be hard working and humble players who are able to accept coming on for 20 minutes and starting 10 games or so across the season without kicking up a fuss, sulking or creating a bad atmosphere.
That isn't players like Sancho, Rashford or Garnacho.
It's likely to be older players who know they need to manage their minutes, or younger players who know they are learning and developing and more willing to accept being in and out of the line up.
There is no place for egos and bad attitudes this season.
8
12 Jul 2025 12:25:34
Fall guy, didn’t they bid £60 million for Diaz?
0
12 Jul 2025 16:03:03
Williams was 1st choice, Diaz 2nd, Rashford 3rd.
0
12 Jul 2025 16:36:37
What's wrong with his attitude red man?
0
12 Jul 2025 17:00:47
angel
Have you not been watching the games?
3
12 Jul 2025 19:26:37
Did he not go to Belfast and miss training.
Wasn't he left out of the team twice for discipline issues?
He was not trying his hardest in matches for a long period.
Rashford has discipline issues well documented and undeniable.
4
13 Jul 2025 14:49:04
Yes Rashford needs selling but to suggest 25m is laughable!
0
13 Jul 2025 14:54:39
Yes I agree Rashford, Sancho, Garnacho all need moving on, but to say two of those are responsible for making us a laughing stock is beyond belief, does A 45 million pound striker GK who can’t catch a cold, a 75 million pound striker who can’t hit a barn door along with another 45 mil striker who is just as bad, a supposedly Butcher who is made of glass, De ligt who carries a fridge and misses as many games, Ugarte who can’t pass a ball 10 yards, take some of the blame for us being a laughing stock!
0
10 Jul 2025 19:32:27
Rumours that garnacho is allowed back to team training. if this is even remotely true then what are we playing at?
3
10 Jul 2025 20:29:43
Surely that can’t be true! Maybe he’s at Carrington training away from the 1st team like Rashford!
0
10 Jul 2025 20:44:39
One wonders whether the club is struggling to get rid of Garnacho and Rashford, and perhaps Amorim is subsequently the subject of a good ol' fashioned commercial noogie.
1
10 Jul 2025 21:05:24
Not team training, he and the others are allowed to use the facilities at Carrington if they wish.
1
10 Jul 2025 21:09:16
Two days into pre season and Amorims authority is already undermined.
Might as well bring back Sancho and Rashford.
The club should already be planning for a mid season managerial change around october/ november time.
3
10 Jul 2025 21:09:17
I guess we’re playing at all kids are going to make mistakes, perhaps the club are finding no value in the market to replace him, maybe nobody wants to buy him, and he’s a contracted player for Man Utd, an exciting youth product and human who’s not to be discarded to the waste?
3
10 Jul 2025 21:25:51
Maybe nobody a-calling is the dose of reality Garnacho's big ego needs. There are aspects of his game which are excellent for a younger player.
2
10 Jul 2025 21:50:24
Out of the 5 i'd have garnacho back. He does actually work for the team. He just needs to stop leaking stuff to his brother and knuckle down. He's going to be a very good player when it all clicks.
5
10 Jul 2025 21:51:23
When were garnacho rashford and sancho banned from 1st team training?
5 players were granted extended leave 1 week to work on finding a new club.
At no time did amorim or the club as far as I'm aware say they were not welcome to train after that extra weeks leave.
2 others were granted extended leave in bruno and dalot due to the death of their close friends and intl team mate.
When was it said by anyone that they were not welcome back after their extended week?
4
10 Jul 2025 21:54:17
Not sure that he can be just told not to turn up. Not sure how that plays with employment law. He hasn't been sacked so?
I don't see the problem with it.
2
10 Jul 2025 22:17:16
Looking at some of the OAP free transfers we are being linked with like Ndidi, Vardy, Wilson etc. I’d probably stick with Garnacho too.
1
10 Jul 2025 22:51:24
Who from the club has linked us with any of those fallguy.
0
11 Jul 2025 04:47:06
He is a United player currently so every right to be at the club until he is no longer a club employee, not really anything to get so excited about, makes zero difference, in fact might be a benefit, he will be gone soon enough.
2
11 Jul 2025 06:29:48
Nobody directly from the club has linked us. But when does the club directly say anything about any non United player.
Reports could all be BS, but that’s no different to most rumours out there around United.
1
11 Jul 2025 07:58:25
Ken
Well reported that Rashford turned up at Carrington but was not permitted to train with main group, trained on his own with a coach. Widely reported the five are not going to train with Amorims main group.
0
{Ed077's Note - His "dream" is to play with Yamal at Barca, so why would we make him have a "nightmare at Carrington" 😉
3
11 Jul 2025 08:21:46
Redman rashford was given a weeks grace. He was not part of the team training as a result.
Nowhere has the club said all this 5 players could not come back training next week.
I doubt they really want them in the team group. This way those 5 can come back next week and as they are a week behind not join the 1st team training and tour.
At no time has there been any word from the club that they cannot come back training next week.
Reported by whom redman?
Why is it that people believe some ridiculous press reports and then call clickbait when it suits them?
Nothing from the club on this so why believe the daily star?
2
11 Jul 2025 12:40:56
Ken
I don’t read the Daily Star but I do read Manchesters main evening newspaper. Maybe try it.
As an example they reported today Rashford drove into Carrington on Thursday to train on his own again.
He arrived at 4.47pm, eight minutes after Ruben Amorim had departed.
1
11 Jul 2025 12:46:48
I don’t consider it unreasonable to allow him access to the club training/ gym facilities so long as he, and others aren’t connecting with team training. He’s still an employee and an athlete needs to train.
0
11 Jul 2025 13:42:14
Fizz
No problem they can train separately at Carrington, they are not banned just separated from the main group.
1
11 Jul 2025 15:27:33
I appreciate we want Rashford to move on, but it’s in the clubs interest that he stays fit and healthy…. plus I don’t get all this hatred for Rashford, some fools even saying he not worth 40m when you have likes of Kudos MGW even Erlanga going for more!
Weird the way some minds work and the biased views instead of logic
Yes Rashford gone backwards last couple of seasons, but he got the ability to be much better than the above 3 named that’s for sure.
I get people think he downed tools, maybe he did maybe he got other problems, we have no idea….
1
12 Jul 2025 05:36:20
Totally agree German.
I for one would love to see a motivated and fit Rashford play for us. he's our best finisher still. I’d say the same for Garnacho - much
more raw, but has a higher ceiling.
I’d say the same about any of our exiles - tube demand for shiny new signings is always there. Perhaps we look closer to home a little - all these players improved when they left us temporarily (Sancho, Rash, Antony) . Is it all on them, or the culture and toxic environment of our club on the whole right now?
0
{Ed077's Note - Sancho improved so much that Chelsea paid a compensation fee to not buy him. And Rashford did so well at Villa that they've been banging on the door for him ? 🤣🤣🤣
4
12 Jul 2025 09:05:46
Eric
If we want to go backwards then re integrate Rashford Sancho and co. They are one of the main reasons we have become a laughing stock. I suspect in the Woodward days they would have been pushed back in the squad and the manager would have to get on with it until the sack inevitably arrived.
Garnacho saddens me but his attitude is all wrong so I support the managers call on him too. Whilst it wasn’t confirmed where leaks came from the rumours certainly focussed on him.
No more lily livered hand wringing molly coddling of these self interested supposed top players. Open heart surgery, get them out.
1
12 Jul 2025 09:37:41
None of them were banned from training, they were given extra time off to sort out moves away. Unfortunately due to various factors including their own greed that hasn't happened.
Now the club can't actually ban a player from training, they are legally obligated to provide training for players as part of the players contract. At best they can come to a mutual agreement that the player trains elsewhere.
Also they need to be able to stay in shape to help facilitate their moves away. Clubs will be less inclined to sign a player who hasn't trained in months and will likely require a month or two of special-ist training to get them into shape to be able to play at the highest level.
We just need to be able to move these players on ASAP, for the best of everyone involved.
4
12 Jul 2025 16:38:04
Ed007 Rashford doesn't want to go to villa.
0
{Ed077's Note - Villa haven't "wanted" him back either 🤷
1
13 Jul 2025 09:04:45
We keep talking about the open heart surgery. It’s behind the scenes and those in charge that need it the most. We have no money, we’re stuck with these players unless we sell them cheaply, which the club won’t do as it’s a business fist not a football club.
I’m telling you now - stick £5 on Rashford staying put.
0
07 Jul 2025 22:28:45
So the club were in talks about an Amazon documentary. Amorim didn't approve and the club now agrees with him. Not happening! Thank god!
11
07 Jul 2025 23:42:22
Yes thank god that multi-billion pound company didn't want to pay us to do a documentary. Its not like we need the money or anything.
4
08 Jul 2025 07:35:11
Absolutely the right decision. Would rather not have the distractions than the money it would bring.
11
08 Jul 2025 09:02:52
Kurtis, on the face of it yes it would be brilliant and bring in funds…however in our current climate with redundancies, low staff morale, player issues etc I just don’t think it would be a good look and I’m pretty sure RA would rather not have a camera up his a$$ every minute of every day. You just know if sancho etc are t gone then the cameras would have been all over them. Much better to avoid it and focus on the football.
8
08 Jul 2025 11:09:56
I'm glad Amorim said no to this, I don't like these programmes and I don't agree with them. Yes they will bring some finances into the club however, IMO they will also undermine a club’s core objectives, performance, cohesion, and competitive success.
The primary focus during a football season must be winning matches and maximizing performance. Bringing cameras into dressing rooms, team meetings, and private spaces creates an unavoidable distraction. Players, coaches and maybe even the manager could end up changing their behaviour as they become conscious of what is happening.
Successful teams have strong bond and togetherness, these programmes risk exposing tactical plans, interpersonal tensions, or internal criticisms that should remain private.
Finally, the more drama, the more viewers the programme gets, filmmakers and directors could manipulate or over dramatize certain things which gets out to the media and stories are suddenly blown well out of proportion, we have enough of that at United without this.
Not for me and I am glad it's been canned.
11
08 Jul 2025 13:55:55
I'd love to watch this, absolutely love it.
But it's not for the team at this moment IMO. House is so out order and he is trying his best to bring it back into line. He doesn't need cameras there.
But something that will eventually happen, I'm sure.
6
08 Jul 2025 14:12:25
Problem is ports, clubs are already letting Sky into dressing rooms next season along with stupid substitute interviews and more idiotic American football logic… the game is becoming a sham sadly…. Everything is about money, the fans, everything else is just a commodity
TV money is killing the game.
4
08 Jul 2025 15:50:01
Whilst the rumoured fee of £10m would be well received, do not think it anywhere enough for the potential fall out.
The press love to make up anything possible to attack us. Imagine the consequences of seeing behind the scenes and how they would present it.
It would also be hugely disruptive to the daily routines of all concerned.
Offer us £100m and we'll maybe think again.
1
08 Jul 2025 20:54:18
Would we be on TV with this before or after Love Island or perhaps on the Disney channel, after all, didn’t Woodward idea say we were like Disney when trying to recruit Klopp?
Let’s watch arguments and bickering and club being shown as turmoil, dragged through dirt because that is what they would portray. At this difficult time it would be ridiculous to sell our soul for 30 pieces of silver, to see the latest dirt smearing on TV.
Amorim is spot on, none of this nonsense, be a serious club at this time. When they come to do it one day, show the Directors trying to negotiate the MBueno deal.
3
09 Jul 2025 06:15:48
The Mbeumo saga. That’s a whole box set not just a deal Red.
1
09 Jul 2025 09:49:42
I must admit - I jumped the gun on this one. Now the fee of £10m has been confirmed, its a drop in the ocean compared to the negative consequences.
0
09 Jul 2025 13:23:59
Usually I’d be against something like this, but it might actually be a good thing to highlight just how broken the club is at the moment and the amateurish nature of the jokers trying to fix it. We’re already a laughing stock, and seem destined for another bottom half finish with or without the distraction, so why not let our owners bring in a camera crew to show the world just how clueless they really are?
It could end up being the first step toward getting rid of them.
0
11 Jul 2025 12:22:31
I wouldn't watch it even if they do it. No interest at all in it personally.
0
12 Jul 2025 09:42:42
I get why the club would explore this as an option to bring in additional venue at a time where we have lost a significant amount due to not having European football.
Ultimately the club need money to be able to get us back to where we want to be.
However, I'm glad the manager has had the common sense to put his foot down and say no, and that the powers that be have had the respect to listen to him and accept his decision.
It would only be a massive distraction at a time where we need focus. One of the issues we have as a club is players who think they are stars while there performances are not star quality (far from it) . I don't think these guys need a camera crew following them around, it'd only further inflate their egos.
