I Think west ham have bought a pretty good player in Payet. Not just because she has just scored, he was also excellent against arsenal.

Anyone know what they paid for him

One of the signings of the season for sure, everyone keeps going on about how he's created more chances than anyone in the top 5 European leagues last season, you don't do that by luck he looks decent with a dead ball.

I think there have been a few good buys from the smaller teams this year.

Payet, Amavi, Adama Traore, Shaqiri to name but a few. I suspect the top 6 teams will be looking at some of them next year.

I,ve watched him in France for ages, he's good but there's a reason top clubs didn't push through a move for him.

i too have been surprised by some of the signings made by what some would call smaller clubs. I can see a fair few more quality players coming in when the new cash deal kicks in next season making for a very tight league with lots more so called surprise defeats for the bigger clubs. I did actually think the money was coming this year when the likes of shaquiri etc but an ed thankfully explained it was the next season
