ED002, have Utd shown any interest in Sandro Tonali or will he likely be staying in Serie A for the foreseeable future?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Roma failed to replace Maxime Gonalons in the summer before last but one person passed on Sandro Tonali and is said to regret it so it seems possible that they will return – but significant changes may well be on the cards yet and money is an issue. Inter looked to looked to upgrade Marco Carraro with Sandro Tonali that same summer but he was seen as too expensive but they have added Nicolo BarellaNapoli had an interest in replacing Jorginho with him but CA was not keen and they have moved on. Milan saw him as a viable alternative to Julian Weigl last summer but saw him as too expensive – interest remains but priority money is in other positions as they have to be careful with their spending. Juventus would like to take Tonali as they do not have, nor normally play with, an out and out DM, but their interest really remains in CM and they do consider he might be able to take the Jorginho type role Sarri utilises. A number of English sides have had scouts watch Tonali, including Manchester United and Liverpool - but it is Chelsea that have held discussions on more than one occasion but it has been made clear ST wants to stay where he is until what he sees as the right option comes along - and he wants to be a starter and stay in Italy, at least for the foreseeable future.}

Shows what the club are looking for.

Could it be:
Kai Havertz is 1st choice.
Tonali is a back up
Kalvin Phillips is a back up
Same with the kid at Lille.
Rakitic, Kroos, Can etc

Ed when you have a moment would you be able to do a round up on who you think would be a good player?

{Ed002's Note - I am not sure what you are talking about. The players you mention play in an assortment of positions and is all fantasy football type stuff. I am not sure what you are asking my opinion on.}

Utd road,

Have you based that on the football rumours you read. Seriously most of it is a load of rubbish.

All of those listed have come from this site, Mad Hatter.

What's with jumping on people on this site? Only a simple post looking to stimulate some conversation here, isn't transfer rumours the aim of the site? And yes of course this is fantasy. as Roy said "Utd signed Fred" so who knows what we will end up with.

As for different positions most play in a variant of central midfield. Everyone is super smart around here and all knowing will surely know that. i'm just suggesting it we seem to be looking for a type of player.

Used to be a great site for that sort conversation. nevermind.

Ignore them Mad Hatter - it is a rumours site, and its fun to discuss players we would be excited to see sign for our club (aka fantasy football) .

Think it will be difficult to get top targets in Jan, but maybe Phillips could be realistic? seen a fair bit him and he looks ok - albeit at a lower level (hasn't seemed to stop DJ, mind! )

When it comes to summer it would be very helpful if we could offer Champions League next season, however if we miss out and Leicester are in (for example) then It would make Maddison (another rumoured target) very difficult to get.

Have only seen highlights of Havertz, seems to add a goal threat any be pretty versatile. Never seen Tonali play but there's plenty of hype.

Looking at our starting XI, Fred is the one player I think we need to upgrade on. I keep reading reports that he has had a decent game or is picking up a bit of form. I really don't see it. He's our worst player nearly every week.
