Some interesting details reported on US sports news last night regarding Manchester United. They have player targets that they are seeking to secure, albeit some may only be able to join at the end of the season. The interesting bit is, that these targets have, allegedly, been looked at following recommendations, advice. given by Pochettino? Does this mean MUFC are selecting players that Poch wants with a view to him coming in the summer?

I have seen this elsewhere and don't post it as my own info but find it intriguing given that, again allegedly, Poch stands to forfiet £12.5m of his settlement from Spurs should he sign for a club this season.

To reiterate I post this 'info' from elsewhere simply to invite discussion/ observations and thoughts. I will also post as a new thread in case this gets lost to the next page already.

Hope it's TRUE. Sick of Ole trying to run his team in the same mould as Fergie did. Those days have gone now I'm afraid, Players are more technical now . And the most upsetting thing for me with Ole is, He always looks to Fergie in the crowd as if to say how was that boss for a performance. He's the manager not fergie. get Poch in.

First he surprised us
Then he disappointed us
Then he humiliate us
Now he is destroying us
All this because he scored one goal.

Frenchman regardless of what you think of ole he is doing his best working under complete amateurs. I’m not saying he’s great or anything like that. But people need to open their eyes and realise nothing changes until there’s a major restructure and we start acting like a proper football club.
Ole like every other manager is the scapegoat for our failings off the pitch.

caolan do you suffer with bipolar. you are defending him one moment and tearing him another one on a different post.

Would love to believe that there has been a plan put in place to bring in a DOF in and Poch as manager at end of season no matter what happens with Ole and that he is informed of this and being respectfully treated etc etc however sadly the chances of that being the case are very very slim.

Caolan, the season before Ole took over we finished second behind a record breaking City and finalists in the FA cup, won Europa and Carabao cups a season before that. In what dictionary is that called failing?

Frenchman,

1 goal? Do you remember his career for the club? The disrespect shown to him is disappointing, he’s struggling just like the 3 managers before him but his playing career was more than one goal in the Nou Camp, he was an unbelievable striker.

The easiest thing is to show the door to Ole. Why? United doesn't have midfielders, attackers need good passes, defenders need protection to be calm when defending and when we play from defence. Ole signed 2 defenders and 1 attacker, they are not doing badly. Let him sign 3 midfielders and another striker, then we can judge him for f*ck sake.

Seriously WTF is wrong with you whiney sods!

Ole made it clear - He is rebuilding from the bottom up and it is an ongoing project.

You lot talk about him as though he is doing a terrible job. Look at the players he has, at the players he has to do the job without due to injuries.

The squad has been neglected for years with stupid" need right now! " players who are brought in on the short term stupid wages and ultimately fell out with the manager we had at the time.

The club lost it's identity completely - on and off the pitch. Players had no connection to the club. Here just for the wage not for the love of the club and fans.

I get most players are mercenaries however i would take a mercenary who wants to be adored by the fans regardless of the club they play for over one who is there just to pick up a wage and appear to be making an effort.

So far Ole has brought back some identity on the pitch, the club feels in a better place despite not always getting the results we want.

The signings made under Ole have been good value and are well above average.

Some one above said we cannot play like we did under SAF as players are "More Technical". Sorry don't get it.

You can play as we did previously so long as you have the ability breakdown sides when they don't allow for a counter attacking play. Pretty sure we had that under SAF as we did not always play using counter attack as our only style of play.

If you mean to say it is more difficult to do so then of course however that doesn't mean we cannot have our own "more technical" players finding alternative routes to getting the goals we need.

Every club has gone through a period of rebuild. If we want success we must do it right not "Right now! "

The constant manager merry go round is a joke.

We committed to a rebuild - it's going ok for now and we are seeing progress on the pitch and behind the scenes.

As long as things continue in the right direction then sit back take the hits and enjoy the wins.

P. s Signings are key. We should have a good mix of young talent and experienced 27+ players to provide wisdom and stability.

Oh and Artur Vidal. HELL NO! Very bad influence. Not the kind of player we want at the club. agression on the pitch yeah but the guy is reckless.

Mario Gotze, Eriksen, Kroos etc yes

Monk.

He scored 91 goals in 235 games for the club, practically a reserve 😂.

Definitely a reserve. Good in the box- not so good outside. Surrounded by great players who created so many chances. Behind Yorke, Cole and Sherringham on ability. Good sub. Never "outstanding. "

I’ll assume this is a joke.

Assume what you like. Denis Law was outstanding. Van Nistelroy was outstanding. Oli was not. He was good. How would you rate Yorke and Cole.

{Ed047's Note - Theo Walcott, 120 odd goals in 290 odd appearances, an outstanding player! 🤦‍♂️😂
