Is there any update the Eds / fellow posters could provide re January window or future transfer plans? Given we have Diallo arriving in Jan I cannot see us in for Sancho again. We are still crying out for a CB and in my view a CF in this team but not expecting any movement at all in January.

I appreciate Greenwood is the longer term centre forward option and he will get plenty of opportunities this season in all of the front 3 positions. Current press about his attitude etc is more likely just to sell papers and I am aware he's had a close friend pass away. Greenwood will come good I've no doubt about it though not perhaps ready as first choice just yet?

I would prefer Rashford up top to Martial in all honesty and clearly Cavani was a bit of a panic buy late in the day. Albeit he's been a class player in his time. He like the lesser-spotted Ighalo is the wrong side of 30 though and I do think our team could be transformed with a class centre forward. Martial is just to in and out for me.

I strongly suspect the chequebook will be closed until next season and possibly it be a new manager looking to call the shots then. Ole still on borrowed time for me despite the Everton win. It was after all 'just' winning a must win game. And they are kinda all must-win now.

Any insight would be greatly appreciated as always and hope everyone is enduring Lockdown Part Deux as best they can.

Having spent £25m of our precious coin on Diallo and Pellistri combined (though paper quotes suggest that as high as £40m) I had mistakenly assumed one, Diallo presumably, would have been earmarked to integrate into the first team. I appreciate we, as all teams are doing, are buying up a lot of younger prospects at the moment though.

Does Diallo still have a work permit issue Ed? I am conscious he looks to have had a name change from Traore which doesn't strike me as a good sign!
