Ed02, just a quick one on something I've not seen mentioned for a while - the Director of Football for the club. Are we still actively looking for one?

There was a report quite recently naming Luis Campos, Paul Mitchell and Marc Overmars as the 3 main candidates - any truth to this?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I have dealt with this, but Luis Campos (DoF) I am not aware of any approach by Manchester United although he was the Director of Football that Mr Mourinho wanted when he was at the club. The job he planned to move to has now gone, the interest of another side will go nowhere due to a conflict of personalities, leaving one club of interest right now. I suspect he will take his time and see what firm offers are made.
Paul Mitchell (DoF) The safe bet if Monaco will let him go.
Marc Overmars and Edwin van der Sar - Come as a package deal but interest from elsewhere.}

ED002,

Why is there a reluctance from the club to appoint a DOF?

It's clearly the way forward, granted that it is set up correctly in the first place, unlike Arsenal.

Do you know anything about new sponsorship deals the club are looking at when the Chevrolet deals comes to an end?

Thanks and a Happy New year to you, all these eds and posters.

{Ed002's Note - The club is not set up correctly and it would take a restructure and a commitment to give out responsibilities.}

Thanks ED002,

Sounds like those in charge have let it go to their heads.

{Ed002's Note - Nobody is in charge.}

Remember that TV series with Digby-Jones called The Troubleshooter, where he went into businesses and told them where they were going wrong.
We could pitch a new TV series The Ed, where Ed02 goes into football clubs and tells them how to fix their problems. Netflix will snap it up, especially if we sell it as a rival to Prime's All or Nothing show.
