{Ed002's Note - I cannot answer "any chance" questions but I have explained before that Donny van de Beek (CM) has been offered to Real Madrid and Juventus, and will be offered to Barcelona due to a lack of a plan or direction at MU. But both Spanish clubs have moved on and unless Manchester United would accept a long-term payment plan or loan to buy there would not be the spare money to buy him. If Pogba leaves there will be space in the team - but MU seem intent on holding him hostage. Juventus has a preferred CM target but might be open to a loan to buy deal. Inter may provide an option if he is to leave.}

Will we look to bring in a replacement if Donny was to leave? Considering he very rarely gets gametime will the club see the need to go out and bring in another CM?

I hate to see players get shafted by clubs like we have done with Donny. Pogba wants to leave, Donny plays a similar position and has shown promise when given minutes. Surely its not hard to see a resolution for all parties involved. Move Pogba on and use Donny to replace Pogba.

It’s all very frustrating and it seems far too obvious to move Pogba on and integrate Donny into the team.

When Donny and Bruno have played together we look more of a team, which is what we’ve all been crying out for.

The manager coaches are obviously more clued up than us fans but there are a few things going on at the club that it seems we can see but they can’t.

Be interesting to see what CMs we have at the club at the start of next season as Matic is past it, Pogba wants to go and seemingly Donny does too.

It will be another season of Fred and McTominay at this rate.

We have all been bashing the board for their transfer strategy and all and now when they bring in a skillful player like VDB and the manager doesn't have a plan and don't know how to use him. That's even more pathetic.

It will be criminal to let go of VDB when we have all been crying out for some quality in that midfield area for quite some time. If anything Ole should be the one to go if he can't realize or help fulfill the potential of a player like VDB.

Can't just get my head around why we would want to let go of a quality player like him especially in such a short time.

We all know it should be a mf of Bruno and Donny with one of Fred, Matic or Scotty Mac in there but Ole is set on playing x2 dm usually so donny won't get a sniff of the 1st team, especially as Pogba is still lurking about. Feel for the guy, someone we should be building a team around, he may aswell have stayed at Ajax where his reputation would have grown but instead was fed a line by us and now is rotting away playing with the second string vs Watford today prob, nothing short of a disgrace imo how he's been treated.

I woukdnt build a team around DVB, he is decent but not the great player people make out, he is not a certain starter fir Holland.
Harvetz is a far better player and struggling at Chelsea, epl can be hard work give the lad time.

VdB hasn't been given ample game time. Other players who have flattered to decieve have got for more minutes. I rate Vdb, his vision, touch etc are superb. A run if games playing with Bruno woukd do him the World of good.

Really OGS should line up with a 433. You could play fred, Bruno and donny, with Rashford martial and Cavani. Then rotate Greenwood up top or on the wing.

VDB has had all the top clubs sniffing around him. Juve, RM, Barca. But Ole doesn’t fancy him, he’s suddenly not a great player.

Havertz is better? You’re comparing apples and oranges.

VDB should be in the starting 11 with Bruno, and one holding midfielder. Unfortunately we don’t have a holding midfielder bar Matic who is too old now.
He’s the type of midfielder we’ve been crying out for. Someone who can dictate tempo and retain possession, something we are currently incapable of.

Donny hasn't struggled when played unlike Havertz. Donny has been fairly solid and has earned the right to be given more minutes on the basis of his performances when given the chance. He hasn't looked like out of sorts at time like Havertz has. And Havertz has played a lot more minutes still for Chelsea.

And most of us want Donny to get more chances over Pogba who doesn't want to be here. I don't think its hard to understand.

I said before we signed him he was decent nothing more, I think people are massively overrating him.
He is a decent player who done well with ajax playing a very different style in a very different league .
The lads young big step give him time . I don't think he has set the world alight when he has played, I would guess the same may be true in training .
But like I said I haven't changed my mind I said all the above before we bought him
It reminds me of the kagawa or miki situation .
People going on and on about they havd to start etc etc .
But to be honest they never really convinced .

Also its not just united he isn't a guaranteed starter for Holland.
Its not a great holland team they have won 3 of there last 9 games .
He has started 3 games and the lad is more settled in the Dutch squad that a united squad and thd epl .

I'm not saying he is a bad player, but he isn't a big name superstar and the epl is very different to the Dutch league .
Give the lad a chance we are not even half way through the season.

We are dealing with Frank De Boer, when talking about The Dutch national team. I genuinely believe he is the worst coach/ manager currently employed in a semi decent job. FDB is cr@p coach and his judgement should hold less value than even mine and yours.

Also Donny used to be more favoured in the national setup before C.V. when he was playing week in week out for Ajax. Ronald Koeman wanted to take him to Barcelona when he left the Dutch national team for the Barcelona job. So surely Donny must have given a good enough account of himself in the national setup.

If you don't get what most of us are saying it's simple:
Give the lad a chance.

DVB is a cracker of a little player and I find it so strange that he can not get a start ahead of pogba who has been nothing short of abysmal. No wonder he has been offered about, I feel sorry for him.

Nothing about building a team around him, but surely he is worth more than how he has been treated since his arrival.

I meant to say I've never played computer football games or any other comp games. Not my thing.

If donny leaves by the summer it will be a shocker on our part. Yes he needs a run of games, yes he needs time to settle and yes we need a more holding mid in order to fit him and Bruno in the team. But some excuses on here trying to put the young lad down are sad. Unfortunately I don’t see him being patient enough to get his path laid out when pogba leaves. Shame though. Tidy player. Still young and genuinely seems like he is or was sold by the ‘project’.
