Fabrizio Romano

"Manchester United internal talks. Main part of board [Sir Alex Ferguson too] wants to give Solskjær another chance to be in charge for Tottenham game.

Pressure still high around Ole. No official talks with Antonio Conte - but he’d accept the job in the next days too. "

Humiliating defeat to our fiercest rivals and they want to give him another chance?

Pathetic.

Love S'Alex. Best ever manager and responsible for blooding through countless legends, along with the GOAT CR7. Played real football, was always in charge, took no rubbish and his record is impeccable. Not to mention his record before arriving at United. Love and respect him.

However.

If we keep involving him in moving the club forward, then we are going to find it hard to move forward. Too much of a renaissance with the past. Ole, Fletcher, Carrick and Phelan. I was, and still am, excited by CR 7 returning. I do take on board its a step backwards, but everyone talks about 'go and get Harry Kane, he guarantees 25-30 goals every season. ' Ronaldo does exactly the same, but brings more revenue. He just doesn't get the supply - because the manager and his coaches don't know how to set the team up.

The point of him returning is to score goals. he's only going to continue to decline as he gets older, despite his fantastic shape and athleticism. We don't have time to give ole until the end of the season, otherwise what was the point in signing Ronaldo? You could argue Mason, Rashford and Sancho have their best years ahead so waiting a year isn't too bad. However with Ole in charge, I am confident we will not finish in the top 4. Once we meet a strong team in Europe, we will be out and probably out of Europa (as a means to get CL next year) . No chance of winning the FA Cup. Don't forget, we have still yet to play Chelsea/ ManCity TWICE and Liverpool AWAY. Can you see us getting more than maybe 2-4 points, from a total of 15? The league is done. This is truly a rescue mission for someone. On paper we have got some worldies but if the manager can't do his job - MANAGE - then what's the point. If i couldn't do my job, on substantially less money than Ole, I would be told to jog on.

The only reason we are a 'top 4' club is because of our spending power - make no mistake we are not a top 4 club currently because of our football. We are a joke of club right now, from the top down to Freds passing range and Maguires defending ability. £80mil this guy cost us - for what.

If he stays in charge, he has to do something different. Drop Maguire for Bailly, put in VDB, play Cavani - just do something different because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results!

Rant over.

Fantastic post Singh.
As Ed002 said several times we are run by amateurs.

He will be so frightened of losing on Saturday, he'll play both Henderson and De Gea in goal, 6 defenders, McFred and Ronaldo
. and he still get a thrashing.

Jonny Blaze, has an exception being made to have 2 GKs in that game? That will be a first.

He will just do the usual or maybe go all out to prove himself.

The real worry is how many of the players are on his side willing to fight for him on the pitch.

Is it normal Eds that a manager doesn’t attend training which is being talked about OGS?

{Ed002's Note - Coaches attend training - managers will do but perhaps not all of the time.}

I’m amazed our manager doesn’t - truly gobsmacked.

{Ed002's Note - What makes you think he doesn't?}
