Conflicting reports on lingard, some say the deal is dead, others that talks have reopened. Ed02 if your about do u expect lingard and possibly Donny to go before the window shuts?

Thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - The loan price scared off Newcastle. If MU want to move him on now they will need to be creative. Donny van de Beek will almost certainly complete a loan away to Crystal Palace.}

Thought as much…don’t get the price for lingard but not surprised. Think palace would be a good move for Donny, also we will get to see if he can cut it in the league as that’s the excuse for his lack of games.

Thanks Ed, have a good weekend!

{Ed002's Note - And you Tim.}

He’s a decent player for lots of Premier League or European teams. Surprised only Newcastle in for Lingard.

Newcastle are not the only side in for Lingard. Utd won't sell to top 4 rivals.

Fzz who are the other sides?

Spurs I assume and possibly West Ham again.

Ed002 if either of lingard or Dvdb were to move on do you think united will try to get a player in before the window closes?

{Ed002's Note - Clubs should not look to replace players when are not playing. The summer will see changes in management and it would make sense to wait.}

Ed002 I tend to agree.
I don't want to see a player come in that will not have a long term future.
I think we have enough to secure a top 4 place and would like to think some of them will improve and flourish under a new coach and that he will be backed to add players that he has a say in to compliment what we have.
However I would not be surprised if Ralf tries to twist their arm to get 1 in.
Cheers hope your keeping well.

ED002,

Has there been any noticeable change in how Utd are operating in respect to their transfer dealings?

Or is it still the same old amateurish ways?

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - What transfer dealings?}

ED002,

I meant the loaning of Martial, plus lingard and VdB trying to secure moves away, with Utd apparently asking for large fees for a lingard, who has 6 months left on his contract.

{Ed002's Note - These are all players who want out.}

I'm confident there will be a midfield signing, probably late monday night as usual :D. Especially if Donny leaves as expected, I know he's not a starter but his place in the midfield hierarchy will need to be replaced this season. If not then maybe Hannibal the Cannibal is in for a promotion as they won't cut short Garner's loan.
Personally all for Rangnick staying on as manager after this stint too.

Cannibal? Really?

I think that loaning out a few 1st team players is a good move by the club, we haven't ever seemed to loan many senior players out. it puts them in the shop window and hopefully adds more value if we decide to move them out permanently. I hope donny gets the palace move I think it's a good move for him, he will hopefully get a lot of game time and we can actually see if he's up out for the prem and he will come back a better player.
