Hi Ed, on the list of strikers below, there was no Nkunku, would he be listed more as a midfielder in terms of a target for United (or winger? ) . Do you have info on where things are at with him, german reports today saying Ralf has recommended him to the club and he is about 75m euros.

{Ed002's Note - He is not a striker. Christopher Nkunku (AM/LW/RW) Manchester City have been told by RBL that the player is not for sale. However, Chelsea and Real Madrid have watched him and he is on their respective lists of potential wingers as both sides look to shuffle what they have - but he is not top of the list for either - although both are attracted by his versatility, but not the suggested €70M plus price. Arsenal provide a very much less attractive solution but have been looking to him for some time - but they won't be an option. Manchester United looked at him as a potential addition to replace Mata and Lingard but with Fernandes and the emergance of Elanga they must address other priorities first - and if they cannot offer Champions League it would not be an attractive move. PSG have been speaking with Pini about resigning Nkunku but Pini will want guarantees knowing that PSG are looking at making use of some talented youngsters they have - but they do have a serious interest. Bayern Munich expect a significant AM/W departure and see Nkunku as an option, but it depends on the departure happening. But they do have a serious interest. RBL will resist a move and expect a contract extension to be agreed.}

Thanks for the info Ed. It seems pretty rough for us United fans on the attacker front. Nunez wants Cl, Nkunku wants Cl, Ronaldo probably wants Cl. What the heck are we to do.

{Ed002's Note - Pay over the odds maybe? Re-evaluate options?}

Or sell the oroject to the players, not being in UCL for 1 season isn't the end of the world, if the club make steps forward and get a group together there's no saying we can't be in it after next season.

Well, I suppose money can solve that problem for Nunez.

Well we are in a position where we have spent a lot on big names or nailed on future stars. it has not worked. Time to give Youth a chance with proper scouting involved.
rather buying 1 for 70m prospect, use heavy scouting and buy 3 in that price. I am sure I will click. ?.

Is it too early to ask for a list of confirmed targets for the Summer yet Ed?

{Ed002's Note - I am not trying to do all inclusive lists but if there are specifics I will try and answer.}

Hi Ed, to add to this then, you mentioned Hugo Ekitike some months ago. There are reports today United made an inquiry now. Would this be an alternate to Darwin Nunez (seemingly the main striker target? ) .

{Ed002's Note - Unrelated.}
