just been reading about ryan mason of hull city might have to retire from football because of a head injury you have to feel for the lad at 26 years old.

You do but that was a nasty injury an he was lucky. Footballs just a game. Your health is more important.

Not just a game when you're getting paid to do it, it's his job. he's obviously had a decent salary for a few years but at 26 to retire is sad. Hopefully he'll get a coaching role or something along them lines.

Great shame but i'm sure he is well insured which is at least of some comfort. Many employees that would have to stop working through illness don't have that sort of insurance.

It would be nice to see him have a similar role to that of James Taylor (England cricketer who had an heart issue)

Sure but he can go into coaching, the media, open his own business. He's able to live very comfortably. Its just a job end of the day.
