Roy Keane to join the coaching staff - discuss.

I think it would be a great thing, ruffle some feathers and help impose the standards necessary to return to the top.

Would just be another hark to the past when we really should be modernising as a club.

Anyone looking at it rationally and not with rose tinted spectacles on can see it would be a disaster. He could barely hold it together with the previous generation of player, i. e. ferdinand, fletcher, o’shea, rooney, ronaldo etc and fergie had to let him go.

If roy keane is so good at imposing standards as a manager/ coach then why apart from a brief spell as sunderland manager, has he not become a successful manager or coach.

I’d get him in for the 6 months it would likely last. At least he’d dish out some home truths before it goes south.

Oh the Geordies will love that, another former Sunderland manager. I sometimes wonder if Mike Ashley is actually trying to get himself lynched by the nicest people in England.

{Ed002's Note - Roy Keane is not joining Newcastle.}

Disaster waiting to happen wherever he goes.
