Wonder if the pogba and dressing room power group were effecting Sanchez and fitting in on the pitch, l still think he could play a simular role as Augero, given the supply. We won't be able to sell so we should try and get some return. A fast pressing game should suit him perfectly. Amway felt even on the pitch he was not linking or get supply from other players, could be all over the big wages.

Sanchez was a loner at Arsenal, he just has an introverted personality. However, that shouldn't affect his performances on the pitch as he has had this same personality his whole career.

Sadly, I think we just signed a player who was on the decline.

Finding an excuse for Sanchez not performing but castigating Pogba for also not performing (albeit with the best performance stats than all our players) .

I wanted Pogba to stay but with his agent's exposé yesterday, I want him gone.

Pogba's reasons may be genuine; maybe he doesn't see the ambition or aims of the club align with his or he doesn't feel the love from the fans or perhaps he's being the snake "he is" but the manner in which this is going, I'd have him shown the door.

That notwithstanding, using him as an excuse to justify Sanchez's no-show is a disgrace.

That’s pretty spot on Yaz. I watched Sanchez closely and he seemed unable to even make a simple pass. He may be on the decline but I think there’s something going on in his head that’s affecting him. Whatever the reason he has been very poor, the odd assist, the odd goal but generally he has been awful. The fact he is the highest earner will have unsettled some who look at him and think ‘we’ll if he’s worth that the I’m going to ask for x’ so it was pretty poor business all round.

What summed it up for me was when he was lying flat out on the turf at OT having injured himself. We had the ball, everyone could see he was injured, but our players just carried on playing. That spoke volumes.

Most of our problems started when he joined in january 2018. Wage bill out of kilter, limiting martial and rashfords game time at a key developmental stage, partly being unable to buy a right winger due to the money wasted on sanchez.

But no its big bad pogba holding sanchez back. Most posters on here spewing vitriol at pogba but treating sanchez with kid gloves. Its interesting.

Sanchez has been a disaster, but it's not for the want of trying. He still puts in a shift, he gives 100% but like a lot of great footballers heading into their twilight years, he has just lost that spark.

I wouldn't put him and Pogba in the same bracket. Pogba and his PR machine have been living off glimpses of amazing talent. Sanchez sadly has just forgotten how to be a footballer.

Bringing Sanchez in was the big mistake.

Putting a player on wages that far exceed the rest of the squad already sets them apart. When that player is a bit of loner that exacerbates the problem. It leaves you with a hugely expensive player who is isolated from the rest of the squad, and that’s going to have a knock on effect on performance.

Added to that, Sanchez didn’t fit in Jose’s system, and he was already starting to decline at Arsenal.

What were left with is a player on massive wages who doesn’t connect with the rest of the squad, or fit with the manager’s system (this remains the case under Ole), and his wages make it impossible to move him on.

As an eternal optimist, I think he might still come good this year. Plus, he's down to £7 million in Fantasy Football. Sign him up!

If sanchez gets into the team and starts playing well he will connect with everyone.
De bruyne earns treble what walker or ottemedi earn and hardly played.
Ok sanchez has been awful so its makes it worse but if he starts making a difference on the pitch them the money arguments will disappear. I think it unlikely but he is capable of much better he can't do any worse.
