Rashford, Lingard, McTominay, Pereira Greenwood. 5 Academy players played today (I’m ignoring Pogba) . That’s a pretty impressive stat.

Someone else mentioned somewhere the team spirit looked strong with a team huddle after each goal. Apparently after the third, McTominay was heard shouting ‘we go again’ to the other players, he’s maturing very quickly. The result was possibly flattering but the spirit and togetherness looked strong and the age of the team was very low. It’s a long road back but perhaps we have started.

Don't want to get over-emotional after one result, because God forbid a football supporter gets emotional over his team, but it felt just a little more like my United, today. Small steps.

I love seeing the academy players come through Tony. Was brilliant to see. And yes I saw that from mctominay. He’s a fantastic example and a rarity in the modern game. He’s in some ways a throw back to early 2000s where footballers were less flashy. I’m a massive fan. Had my doubts but so happy to be proven wrong.

Wonderful attacking play. Took our chances brilliantly. And we were great to watch.
Pogba lost the ball too many times, and we started sluggishly and too open. So hopefully we can correct these.
But a great result and the attacking play was superb.
All three debutants did extremely well.
We can't get carried away, but we will go to Wolves in confident mood, and hopefully, we can extract revenge on them.

McTom is starting to look the real deal. Noticed Pogba seemed peripheral to the celebrations. This season should be spent finding a player to compliment McTom as he could have a big future if he keeps progressing.

There's positives. A lot to build on. Couple of negatives but they can be worked on. I said couple days ago that mctom is a future captain.
