What's happened to fred? I thought he mite get a chance. is he injured or just seen as not good enough?

Not good enough.

He’s not good enough for Ole to put on the bench, and will be chalked down as another transfer failure. Can’t be trusted in midfield when your touch is that poor.

Fred was so bad last year. He showed willing trying to regain possession, but lost it so easily with dreadful touches and passes straight out of play.

I have no idea what he is SUPPOSED to be good at. but I don't think its football.

The lad was a brazil international with united and city trying to sign him last summer.
Really struggled last summer, must be a player in there some where.

He showed glimpses in the last few months of last season. He missed a lot of pre season and apparently is doing extra gym work to catch up. Plenty of games to come do he will play at some point.

People have written Fred off too quickly, I personally think if he played in the role lingard does then he will be at his best.

It would be worth giving him another chance maybe in cup games a lot of players don't settle in the 1st year and if it still doesn't work out then get rid.

He missed large parts of preseason - so maybe just getting fit. I think there is a place for him alongside pogba in front of a DM (mCtom) . Lingard has not had a great few games and pushing Fred and pogba further forward may help creativity and allow them to play their natural role.
