Fair play to rashford for issuing an apology to the fans for recent performances.

But if he could just make one near post run in a game, that would probably be a better use of his time.

Glad I am not the only one who can’t understand Rashford’s lack Of movement and reluctance to get in front of defenders on crosses.

For me he has proven in recent weeks that playing down the middle is not his best position.

Not here to slag him off as he is a Utd player and needs our support. Just my opinion based on performances.

It’s not slagging him off. He struggles with his back to goal, and is better playing wide left. The problem is that this true of James and Martial too. Our three best attacking players all play the same position.

When we have wingers and midfield players that can cross a ball and play a ball in behind are you surprised he doesn't make the runs.

Still think Martial is best as a striker, Danny.

Rashford can play on the right, he was playing there up until the season before he came to the first team.
Dj on the left, rasford on the right, Tony up top why not.

Rashford is not a CF. IMO, he is better playing on the left side of a front three.

Also there is far too much pressure on Marcus rashford. But Marcus rashford signed a contract for 250k a week so unfortunately there are in my view unrealistic expectations of him because of this.
Manchester United have failed Marcus by their over reliance on him, a top class if albeit older striker is needed in the short term for the next 2 years for Marcus to share some of the burden with.
Whatever people's thoughts on lukaku it was a huge mistake to sell him without replacing.

{Ed025's Note - i agree ross..

That would be the ideal 3 up top ross

Martial is a very good finisher

The injuries are obviously playing a high part our form but we should still be winning games we have lost.

Ross spot on about Rashford. The burden on him is unfair. He is still young. More than that he is feeding off scraps at best and does not have a reliable source of supply of goal scoring chances nor does he have midfield players who quickly link up to drag opponents out of position to give him more space. Having a good Co striker woukd help too.

Would be our best forward line atm but martial has had a worrying amount of injuries that keep him out for several weeks at a time.
Really worrying times atm with our squad and the games coming up
Wouldn’t bet against a new face in the managers seat by xmas.

Rashford just doesn't have the instinct of a striker.

Dazw you would soon stop running if you never got a decent pass or had no chance to score in a match.

Salford, if only Rashford took the chances he did get, sadly most the time he miskicks or blasts wide.
