Squad game ken, or at least it should be. 2 or 3 midfielders starting each week, 2 or 3 on the bench. We need at least 5 midfielders maybe 6 depending on the preferred tactics of the manager.

Currently we have 4 (Pogba, Matic, Fred and McTominay) . Of which two are almost certainly to leave while although improving many people still aren't quite convinced by Fred.

If we say Fred and McTominay stay then there is space for at least 3 maybe 4 new midfielders. Let's say one of Garner or Levitt make it. Then there is still space for at least 2 maybe 3 more midfielders.

Bellingham could be one of those. The lad is 16 years old and probably 3-4 years away from being a first team regular anyway.

When we have such a thin squad signing one player is unlikely to push another out.
