"It is stretched but we're getting players back after the break as well, so we will be better off for the break".

"We're still working on one or two things so let's see if the club get it over the line".

quotes from ole this morning, if we only managed 1 signing (probably none) which postion do we need the most AM or CF?

Red Man is right, but I would add that entire coaching team needs to go.

They have shown no tactical nouse or ability to coach a squad at this level. We need new ideas from outside the club, and I don’t see much benefit to brining new players into a failing system.

Did you see ole's quotes, doesn't sound like a man whos going to change any time soon. He sounds very set in his ways like a few others before him. Top coaches have ability, vision etc but are also adaptable in terms of their tactics and setup. By the sounds of ole today he's going to plod on with the same old approach which so far has failed miserably.

Everyone missing the big guy Mr. Woodward, replace him and get in a DOF for a start. Everything else would fall in place after that.

No point in changing managers, coaches and players when the footballing team as a whole is not wholly supported by the higher ups when it is absolutely vital to bring in quality at every level of the club.

Fact is it is widely agreed that we need recruitment of players and we've heard mentions of up to 8 required with similar amount being sold/ let go. The problem is 1/ 2 at a time will not make a long term difference as neither would 7/ 8 in one fell swoop (regarded as too manyat one time) : because the same structures of management and coaching and scouting are still there behind the scenes.
It has become a more common statement that in order for a player or coach to come that "things will have to change" at the club and tbh until they do the same mistakes will be repeated, overpaying on fees and wages, high existing contract terms to players we don't require but can't shift and performances that beggar belief. I don't think any one change can long term improve our current situation with the exception of the formulation of a plan to completelyy overhaul every dept of the club top to bottom and then implement it . This is going to take several years to manifest itself into anty sort of the man utd club we have been used to.
