Watch the ighalo interview.
The man looks so happy.
He's like it's man united I rejected every other club.
His agent is like you'll get a paycut.
Ighalo is like I don't care.
It's my dream.

Happy to see United sign players who want to be here.

Tired of Pogba/ Di Maria etc who don't care.

Nice to see some players still dream of playing for us.

no doubt we will hear he's a panic signing, he's not good enough etc etc. but honestly its refreshing to see someone who genuinely wants to be there and would have done anything to get the move. If he performs on the pitch then this move could turn out to be a good deal, especailly as he's also now available for the europa league.

yeah i bet the guy can't believe his luck.

a player of his standard dreaming of playing for what was a big club.

Oh Bolger cheer up. Ighalo is hardly the first player who isn't world class to play for the club.

Many players who have never been considered world class have played well for our club and have helped make a difference. Give the lad a chance.

If nothing else Spurs wanted him as cover for Kane. Now they don't have any cover. So that at the very least has to help us.

Is this the new bar?

Are we so used to dross that any player being happy to sign for us is seen as a victory?

Yh i think he should be rewarded for his sacrifice with a 5 year contract.

Give it a couple of weeks DSG.

I think it's a little too negative here.

Joshua King for some money or Ighalo on loan? It's easy.

Ighalo could have sat on his arse gotten more money yet he decided to come to United. If that doesn't show intent what does?

Would you rather see ighalo play who can maybe score goals than repeatedly see James, lingard, pereira falter when they are through on goal.

And right now we are a very mid table team and we have a signed a mid table team striker in him.

It is poor planning, and we could have gotten icardi or Ben yedder who both have been having good seasons. Yet we decided to move on without either.

I think it's a decent move if he gets 7-8 goals for us come end of season. The team lacks goalscorers in general.

Danny, many top players have turned us down in the past, often preferring warmer climates. Remember when Ronaldinho was signing for us?

In recent years we have seen many players join for the money and not really want to be at the club. Pogba has been trying to force his way out for a couple of years. Others also want out.

Surely you're not that miserable of a person that you can't enjoy a player joining who is genuinely happy to sign for his boyhood club?

Echo your thoughts Rohan, he wouldn't be any worse than Tony, Dan or Lingard in front of goal. A decent short term solution to our problems.

05 Feb 2020 15:37:27
Are you seriously comparing this to Ronaldinho?

Ighalo is a player playing in the Chinese league, who was sold by Watford three years because he wasn’t performing. He was given the opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in the EPL, of course he’s going to be happy. How many players at his age, playing in a weak league get the opportunity to play at the highest level again?

I’m delighted that we didn’t waste £30m on King, and as a loan Ighalo makes sense. But to see supporters wetting themselves because Ighalo seems happy to be playing for us is just embarrassing.

12.) 05 Feb 2020

He is better than martial. No doubt about that.

13.) 05 Feb 2020
05 Feb 2020 18:07:50
Danny it's the "he could have the cantona effect" that's really pissing me off.

Yeah we needed a striker and like danny we shouldn't be wasting money on players like king but ighalo is pants.

14.) 05 Feb 2020
05 Feb 2020 18:34:10
Why do so many of you not rate Ighalo? I think he is a good striker, who will do a decent job for us.

15.) 05 Feb 2020
05 Feb 2020 18:55:46
Csf i agree he is now or most experienced and probably best striker in the squad. Its a shot to nothing. If he comes and does well great of he doesn't do well he won't be any worse than what we have.

05 Feb 2020 19:29:03
Oh dear, now Shappy quotes Ronaldinho. I read the story about how we missed out on him, perhaps Shappy should try it.

As to the former Watford forward. Hardly surprising that a United fan should be delighted to play for the club, he should give everything to the cause which is nice. However it looks like supporters grasping at straws for a scrap of positivity it a pit of mediocrity.

Hope the lad does well, but also that the club has learned short term temps can do well yet don’t automatically turn out well when made permanent. Have they learned from the manager debacle?

17.) 05 Feb 2020
05 Feb 2020 20:09:39
We needed a striker till the end of season, someone with a physical presence who can score goals and is in form. He also happens to be a fan. Anyone is better than Martial at CF. This might even help Martial's cause while Rashford is out injured. Martial benefits from another striker near him. So let's see what happens. I've got a feeling he'll do well.

On ighalo we might get a surprise and shock everyone. All the big signings like di Maria, depay, falcao, sanchez where we were filled with expectation didn't work out in the slightest. Maybe this will work out a bit better. Only short term anyway guys all our main targets are no doubt playing in the champions league. Here's hoping we get a top striker in the summer 🤞.

06 Feb 2020 10:43:49
It's quite laughable, people are over these high priced, overpaid players who don't work hard
We sign a player on a short term deal who by all reports took a pay cut to come here for 6 months and is going to work his ass off and they aren't happy because he isn't an overpaid, lazy, shiny big name
Can't win.

20.) 06 Feb 2020
06 Feb 2020 11:04:11
lets see how he does before anyone judges him, people rave about larsson but he only scored 3 goals.

21.) 06 Feb 2020
06 Feb 2020 16:18:00
Has'nt even kicked a ball for us yet and already he's better than Martial because he came accross well in a press conference.
