Interesting comments from Fred:

"We are lacking a lot right now, first of all we need to figure out things on the pitch, we are lacking creativity, especially in midfield. "

"We also need to improve as a group, our group lacks the 'sticking together mentality', we have lots of problems. "

"Vanity is also an issue and we need to stop this and just run on the pitch. "

"We need to be on the same page and today some players have different objectives, there are players that just want to solve problems alone and this is wrong. "

Fred, despite his limitations, has been one of our best players over the last few months. Primarily because he puts the work in and keeps up the effort for the full 90 minutes.

Three issues: lack of creativity, lack of teamwork, and big egos. Pretty bang on I think. Issues that encompass both the attitudes of certain players, and the tactical failings of the coaching team. If Fred is aware of these problems, the coaching team is too and we have to wonder why they haven't solved any of them.

This is very scary if true.

Maybe Fred should be player/ coach for the rest of the season.

I read that this morning Danny. It is a worrying state of affairs. Good managers stamp down on vanity, and encourage unity. And it seems that this is not happening at present.
Also, players coming out criticising outdated training methods by McKenna. Who put together a coaching team of Solskjaer, phelan, Carrick and McKenna? It's an absolute joke.

I respect freds words and his work rate on the pitch but he is part of the problem.

The level of his first touch compared with other professional footballers (not even high level) who play midfield is severely poor.

Cant help but thhink we would be more creative if our attacking players got the ball in more threatening areas from people like fred.

Having to take an extra touch on the ball or take an extra 5 seconds to make up for a poor touch is what slows down our attack and leads to the plodding tempo were so accustomed to seeing against teams that sit back.

If Fred is right then it’s good he has called it out and frankly, is anyone surprised? Ole is trying to move on those he thinks don’t fit yet he continually enthuses about Pogba who is a major part of the problem. His intentions are sound but he seems incapable of delivering it.

I suspect we will slide to 7th and he will be gone before the season is out. If Poch is interested I expect him to be in next.

I would guess Pogba. Lingard, Martial and Chong most unsettled/ affected by off pitch matters.

Let them go.
