Wonder are we getting our players in before Pogba is allowed leave, l understand the Sancho deal is still a possibility.

Thought Pogba was now looking to stay after he's realised no one can afford to buy him this summer. Buying Donny doesn't mean Pogba is leaving. Its squad depth. I wouldn't pay any mind to Danny "I'm biased" Murphy on Talkrubbish.

Literally heard nothing on Pogba all window. Not a sniff. He's staying in my opinion. If we get Sancho, then I think he will definitely stay. It's a signal of intent and where the club is going. I give him as much rubbish as anyone else at times but I do beleive he has United in his heart from the younger days. If he can see quality being added to the squad and is enjoying his football, I think he will take a nice little wage rise here and sign again.

I don't see Pogba leaving this summer, while I am also undecided about whether he will sign a new deal.

As a fan I might want to believe that he sees the signing of Bruno, DvdB and possibly Sancho as the club moving in the right direction. But in reality he has wanted to leave for at least two years, I would imagine his reasons go deeper than one or two new colleagues.

I expect him to leave on a free transfer next summer, or the summer after if the club forces the extra year.

Fortunately we have brought in a player like DvdB who could become the long term replacement for Pogba, he'll be 24 next summer if Pogba leaves then or 25 the year after.

We also have a couple of hugely talented young midfielders in our academy in Garner and Mejbri.

In McTominay, DvdB and Bruno we have young hungry players who have all displayed leadership qualities in midfield.

{Ed002's Note - DvdB was one of three players Manchester United saw as a Pogba replacement but it is difficult to see a buyer for Pogba right now. Real Madrid are still raising cash from sales to cover their pandemic losses. Juventus are dealing with priorities and are clearing the decks a bit. PSG are negotiating over an alternative.}

Ed002, I think signing DvdB was a smart move for United. If someone comes in for Pogba or a deal can be done then the replacement is already through the door. If not and Pogba leaves for free next summer then DvdB has had a year to acclimatise.

While other potential Pogba "replacements" such as Saul or SMS would likely cost twice what DvdB did at least maybe even more if the selling club knew Pogba had left and United needed a replacement.

It means United either have great cover/ squad depth that was sorely lacking, or the perfect replacement in place should Pogba leave.
