Bale get overly harsh criticism in my opinion. He's still top draw when fit. People say about his attitude but Madrid have treated him rubbish, ZZ won't play him when he's clearly one of their better players. When fit and on form he's one of the elite in football. Everyone hammers him for his golf. Plenty of other players have hobbies outside of football but they don't bash them for it.

I would take Bale in a heartbeat for a short term option over the likes of Douglas costa. Would defiantly improve the team and squad and nobody can dispute that.

If pogba held a banner saying France golf utd in that order, he would be crucified. But sure let's go with poor misunderstood bale.

He's top draw when fit.

He's never fit because he gets constant muscle injuries and rather than resting and letting them heal he goes out playing golf lengthening the injury or making it worse. Yes they have hobbies but when when it affects wether you can play it's unprofessional.

Madrid haven't treated him badly he's been unprofessional not taking club advice about how to get fit bale has not learnt the language properly making it more difficult to settle and doesn't listen to what the club want him to do.

Only positive might be it rains so much in the north west he won't be able to. play golf too often and don't forget we'd be able to get ourselves a premier golf brand as our official golf aponsor.

I'm with you stand on this one. Short term ideally a loan with an option to buy.

The key factor there being when fit.

He declares himself unfit to play on Friday then plays 36 holes of golf over the weekend, as well as a few hours at the driving range.

Bale checked out of his football career years ago.

Same opinion Stand.

If things don't go well with Bale, we still have Greenwood to cover.

But if Bale stays fit and with the creativity of Bruno and VDB, we may even challenge for the league (wild dream :) I know) .

Things your read in the media Shappy or were you on the golf course?

Common sense, it you watch the footage he walks up pucks the banner up before even reading it. Jesus you’d swear he had it printed. It’s a joke

Dbrookes the fans used to slaughter him when he was scoring incredible cup winning goals etc for them. The club are scummy as far as in concerned and ZZ has never wanted him.

Always turns up for Wales. Would be a better option than any other Sancho alternative for me. Chiesa I would have gone for over Sancho but we’re not interested.

No to Bale, I'd rather have Greenwood playing there as many games as possible with James and Rash as back ups in that position, no need to keep making the Falcao, Di Maria, Sanchez mistakes, no more.

Stand would accept what happened and the defense you provide if it were pogba or Martial?

People on here criticize Martial based on just body language and you want us to sign a player who was uncaring enough to put a mask on his eyes and pretend to go to sleep on the bench.

Bale hasn't played a full season in long time, his injury issues and lack of performance are problematic enough to question the logic of signing him without even including the fact that he has shown piss poor attitude. People are judging bale on what he was 2-3 years ago, he hasn't been that player for a while now.

If stop gap is what we go for, I hope it is perisic. Not my favored choice but beggars can't be choosers.

Stand,

Fully agree, I think he would surprise a few and a new lease of life for him back in the prem could be a lot of fun.

I think his attitude has been poor, and I don't know if it's worth the risk. But I'm a sentimentalist, and like I said elsewhere, I always hoped he'd end up here. Wouldn't touch with my money, but it's not my money, so.

The way he has been treated in Madrid for the past 2 seasons, I am not surprised. Could surprise a few.

Bale can have a swan song at United. Personally, I think he had the chance 3 years ago and didn’t come, that was his chance. It wouldn’t be my choice, I would push for Dembele at Barcelona but if they don’t want to spend the money on Sancho, Bale may have a last golden heyday, if he can stay fit long enough.

A Bale determined to prove Madrid wrong might be worth a season, preferably on a no or low fee loan and with Madrid paying half his wages. He is a level above Costa and Peresic but only if fit. Has Bale lost his pace is a question, let’s see but we might get a season if lucky with injuries. If it means money diverted to buy a LB and CB this season it’s a maybe.
