So we have dithered so long on the fee for Reguilón, Spurs have now jumped ahead of us with a bid accepted by Real tonight. Think that is pretty standard practice for United these days.

Or perhaps Spurs was willing to keep the buyback clause in the deal and we wasn’t. Perhaps MU wanted full ownership of the player and not to develop him to be potentially world class and have Real Madrid come in and take him back.

Pulling out of the deal is Absolutely right thing to do if that was the case.

Were we even interested in him? Seems like he’s been offered to clubs rather than actually identified and scouted.
I don’t want to sound like a fan who rubbishs a player because he signs for another club but it seems like he was offered, we listened to Reals offer, didn’t like it and walked away. Spurs have agreed the buy back clause so he goes there, simple.

Or maybe we prefer an alternative such as Telle?

Dave logic isn’t accepted during transfer windows!
