Ok. Romero, Rojo, Pereira (Lazio), Smalling (Roma or Inter) out. Telles, Sancho and possibly a ST (King maybe) in. Will this be a good window? Eds, which from the above will be hard to be done?

{Ed002's Note - I am not able to answer that}

My biggest worry is pogba. Against Brighton he didn't produce a shot. Create a chance. Make 1 tackle. Make an interception. Get the Dutch lad in his place for starters.
Can't sell him cause no club would pay for him.

I think Leahy is just making a valid point. It’s not really stick. Ole is saying himself Pogba needs to find fitness but right now it’s detrimental to our performance and his. We spent 40m on VDB for this sort of situation. This weekend proves it’s not as easy to predict who the winner will be in any match and every point counts from game 1. We cannot be soft and Ole needs to make a tough call but he has to do it I think.

Unnecessary stick. The player makes up that himself. I'm fed up of the excuses for pogba. he strolls around the pitch. Doesn't work half hard enough for his team. He is on huge money and isn't good enough to wear the united shirt.
He is the first player I'd sell.
A big disappointment since the day he signed for me.
I was never more disappointed with a player because I thought he was going to boss games.

Dsg pogba has been woefull for months don't let a hand full of games paper over dire performaces he gives.

He also doesn't want to be hear. Just like players like smalling roja jones etc we have again not sold players that shoukd be sold.

As a matter of fact, I have never said a bad word for Pogba, but even I'm starting to get annoyed with him. I still hope that he kicks on, because we really need the best Pogba this season. We have Leicester, Wolves, Everton all playing well, even Arsenal have a chance for top 8 this season 😂😂😂.

Rumours we're in for Pogba's best friend in Kanye, maybe that would allow for a diamond or a single pivot. Then again probably just paper talk.

Bruno was our best midfielder against Brighton yet only had one shot on goal, where is the criticism.

Grimslives, still set up the goal for Rash and converted the penalty in the 100min. Plus Bruno was brilliant when he came in, so he is allowed a couple of bad games. Pogba must start playing like himself, with confidence, with great passing, bossing the midfield. I still hope he'll do it.

Yes let's spend 60mill on Pogbas mate just in the hope Pogba starts performing and when he doesn't they will give us 60 mill back. I will ask Ed to mention this point when negotiating 🤣🤣.

It's more about playing Pogba in a position to which he's more suited, which is not holding midfielder. Diamond or single pivot would allow Pogba to be playing where he should be playing. He's not the best tackler, nor the best interceptor fo the ball, so stands to reason he's not going to do too well playing deep. Also, I do hope if we do sign his friend, it's Kanté and not Kanye, although the latter could probably be used to confuse the opposition.

Lovely Ludwig, whether Pogba plays as a holding midfielder or just in the perfect nine square meters of the pitch where his fans seem to think is the only place he should be, don't you think we should expect at least the basics of being able to pass a football and maybe run around a bit?

If he can't tackle, he can't intercept, he can't shoot and he can't pass, what does it matter what position he plays in?

Not a single player in the squad can pull of some of the passes he does. Sure he's definitely not fit and sharp at the moment, but claiming Pogba cannot pass is just absurd.

Ole should try 4-3-3 with Matic (I would suggest Fred, he's more energetic) in the DM, Pogba left, Bruno right (he has played there a lot) . This should be tried, with the 3 upfront it is not necessary to have one behind the striker, with Pogba still a good passer, even though he's doing bad lately.

It's funny how everything turns into a Pogba debate at the moment. I've never really been a fan, I struggle to find how he best fits into a side to maximise his talents and those of his teammates.

However, statistically he has been one of our most important midfielders from a creative view point since he signed. Last season with him out we struggled until we signed Bruno to be our chief creator. However, our best form last season still coincided with when Pogba was on the pitch. Which suggests he has an overall positive impact on our team.

Yet, he wants to leave and his style of play easily lends itself to the idea that he can't be bothered or lacks defensive nous. The truth is that rarely is one player entirely responsible for goals conceded. Normally several people have made mistakes, sometimes only minor ones, in the build up to a goal being conceded.

Currently I would be prepared to cut him a little slack as he is still recovering from having the virus. My father had it earlier in the year and is still struggling to breathe properly nearly 6 months later.

Personally I think on this occasion I would lay the blame at the feet of the manager. Clearly Pogba is struggling and that was clear against Palace. He should have been replaced by DvdB for the Brighton game. Yet, there is a valid thought process of slowly adding DvdB to the team, allowing him to get used to the league and develop his playing relationships with his teammates during training, while coming on for 20-30 minutes a game. In an ideal scenario that is how you would hope to introduce a new player. The reality is that there is nothing normal about the current situation.

I'd argue that in spite of Pogba having a bad game on Saturday, the game shifted when he left the field. When he is on the pitch, opposition teams tend to have two, sometimes three, players hard pressing him, which leads to him being dispossessed a lot. But this also means the opposition's attention is edged towards making sure he isn't in the game. He left the field with us leading and getting back into the game, regaining a semblance of momentum. Enters Fred, and the threat is no longer there, the opposition are freed from the task of isolating Pogba and they were again able to restore their dominance. Fred did next to nothing when he came on, and he doesn't pose much of a threat because his passing range is truly limited and he's not capable of taking two or three players on, often forcing a foul (how many times was Pogba fouled on Saturday? ) . Point being, that even when he isn't playing well, he's affecting the game by the threat he is capable of, even when he is unable to actually impose that threat.

He lost the ball, too many touches, 2 minutes later awb does the exact same thing, point is, if pogba is a big personality in the dressing room, seen as a leader and it is okay to constantly lose the ball, this attitude is invectious and has a bearing on our players attitudes. he 4 me should be the first person moved on, with Woodward going with him.

On paper we have one of the best midfields and our attack has loads of goals in it . Its all about fitting Bruno Pogba and Vdb correctly. Pogba is wasted in a deep role as is Bruno so Vdb has to be the holding Midfielder allowing the two others to run the game i just don't trust OGS to sort it . sorry😷😷.
