Also as far as your quiet window goes, have you ever thought that the targets can’t be sourced as the so called selling clubs don’t actually want to sell?

For me it is destiny that Gordon Strachan will be the one to bring the title back to Old Trafford, he has had a good rest now for a few years and should be raring to go.

Grimslives, Liverpool had never won the league with a German manager before last season, while City had never won it with a Spanish manager before Pep. Arsenal had never won the league with a French manager before Wenger.

While we have a close affinity with Scottish managers having had 4 or 5 Scottish managers, only two ever won anything of note.

When we replace Ole we need to find the best manager to fit the club regardless of nationality. I would say they will need to be able to speak English as I think its an up hill challenge anyway, if the manager can't converse with his squad it will be practically impossible. Beyond that though nationality shouldn't come into it, it should be based on suitability for the job.

Wazza, there have been several EPL managers join clubs not able to speak the language. Or at least not very well. It rarely ends well though.
