Positive thing with Cavani is, he is a worker, always has been, gives 120% on the pitch with bags of experience.

No top club in the world wants him.
FR is reporting agent fee alone is 10m.
As Ed002 said, this is a desperation buy.

This is a Cavani over Sancho deal, hope he does well and hope he's more Zlatan than a Sanchez, expect Cavani and Telles at best now.

Spent more time injured than playing for the last two seasons, at least Big Phil will have someone new to chat with.

Could work out as a good short term. Don’t care about the price. We’ve shifted out players on loan which will cover it. Ighalo as a sub is not threatening. Cavani is lethal in the box and gives us a proper target man who can actually head the ball. Telles next and then hopefully Sancho alongside a fit Bailly. Would be a great window.

If he stays fit he will score us goals, and he’s a completely different striker. Off course it’s a bit of a panic buy as if he was a number one target we could have brought him in weeks ago. He will offer something different and he’s better than igahlo. But he needs to stay fit.

I agree it probably is slight desperation but I think having such an Iconic player from the same nation could help the new lad pellistri, who is also supposedly having a medical in the next day, I think it could really help the young lad settle in a new very different country.

Panic buy plain and simple.
Hope it works out.
