A predictably poorly managed transfer window. The key CB position we need to reinforce with genuine class is totally ignored. Though at least Telles has to be an improvement on Shaw at LB.

We've spent months agreeing personal terms with both Grealish and Sancho and lost out on both as not willing to meet their clubs valuations. The reality is clubs always add a few £££S when United are linked but especially now. Premier League clubs won't be bullied around anymore as they're all in much more healthier financial shape than say a decade ago. Dortmund's stance re Sancho is completely fair and good luck to them. These clubs know we are miles behind City and Liverpool etc and can force their premium prices or refuse to sell.

Grealish boat has sailed as he's signed his new deal and we've opted for Van de Beek. Sancho we look to have scratched completely given links to Traore and Pellistri. I can't help thinking both wanted to play for United and could've been great players for us. We'll never know now.

As for Cavani, class player on his day and having an old hand striker on board not a bad idea. But clearly it's a move that could've happened months ago.

As for the outs - scrambling to get Smalling out the door for €15m with moments to spare just about says it all. Pereira and Dalot loan moves are positive but doesn't feel like the mass cull we all know is needed.

Good point. This window could have been worse - we nearly signed Grealish.

Saw some stats that show Williams and Shaw are better at defending than Telles, but Telles is better at going forward. Will Telles solve our defensive problems?

Attack is the best form of defence.

Shaw is not better at anything since lacks position awarenes. Caughtout of the position so many times.
