The curious case of Paul Pogba, loved by many and derided by many others. a player who on his day is iconic, exciting and world class but those days are few and far between. What is the issue with pogba and will we ever see the best of him?

looking at pogbas united career you can count on one hand his match winning performances, jose couldn't get the best out of him and the two ended up in a very fractured and broke relationship. when jose went ole came in and the old pogba seemed to return. his energy, his drive, his verve all seemed to be back. playing on the left of a midfield 3 he had freedom to roam and create, score goals and assist. fast forward a few months and now he's being played in a 2 man midfield pivot, his role seemingly to dictate the tempo and patrol the centre of the pitch, while also providing defensive cover. He looks lost, uninteresed and quite frankly awful in his current role.

pogba has had a tough off season, new child, C.V. and a lack of training have left him short and its showing. do we think once this period is over that he will be firing again or is it best to admit defeat and move on.

The club have tried different managers, signings and systems to unlock pogba with only fleeting positive results.

should we change system? should we change coach? or should we admit it hasn't worked and move him on? big decisions lie ahead as his contract winds down, and i'm not sure i trust those in charge to make the right call.

We should just cut our losses when it comes to him.
Most matches he is a passenger being carried by the rest of the team. I am no coach nor do I know what is going on during training and backroom. Why Ole is persisting with him is anyone's guess, maybe he thinks he can get the best out of him with more game time. Personally I think We should just ship him OUT!

I usually support Pogba, but sometimes I feel he is not playing for the team.
Bruno tracks back with more determination than him.
His talent is unquestionable and he is still the best passer in the team.
But when playing as a team he is not doing enough defensively and not putting the hard yards.

{Ed025's Note - hes a bad egg TRD and you need to get shut of him asap mate..

i agree with MDB i would see the point if we had no one to replace him with but we've got the perfect player in VDB i feel this is when we find out if oles got the balls and tactically atsute enough for this job he needs to drop pogba shaw and wan bissaka they have been abysmal since season started and replace them with telles van de beek and move williams to right back

Another thing why did we not go for partey aswell getting him for 45 is the steal of the window for me he's exactly what we were crying out for it sickens me.

Looks like he's running his contract down again so you won't have to wait long.

We will trigger the 1 year extension before jan so he can't sign on a free with a European club in jan.
He might sign a new contract at that point.
Nobody has come in for him. It's no surorised he has not played well consistently for a couple of years.

Nobody can defend Paul Pogba anymore. I can't even believe people are still debating this. His attitude is disgusting, his work rate is laughable, he doesn't care about anything but himself and that shows in his performances on the pitch and you know what he isn't really that good.

He has no respect for the club or it's fans. He takes his 300 grand a week and runs back to his big mansion in Cheshire and partakes in his real passion which is Instagram. When is Ole going to grow a set of balls and drop him.

I am sick to death of him prancing about the pitch, losing the ball and throwing his arms in the air, doing half hearted tackles. It's beyond a joke now.
