Cheers for all these write ups ed001. Poor start by Hamilton but be pulled it back in the end. Incredibly hard to beat.

I really hope that next year, Max is in a car that can really challenge because it is a mouth watering prospect. They are all nicey nicey right now, pals and all that. But they are two fiery characters. If they were going head to head each week, we would see some amount of drama unfold.

{Ed001's Note - I can't see those two being anything but antagonistic if they were battling up front. Verstappen takes after his father, a nasty piece of work with a hot temper, I can only see fireworks there. Personally, while I respect Max as a driver because he is top class, I can't separate him from his prick of a father enough to like him or want him to do well.}

Haha I understand ed. His dad was and probably still is a prick. You also see a sense of entitlement in Max, he has been groomed since little for this stage.

I think at this stage in their career, Lewis would still win. Although both are hot headed, Lewis' experience would win over right now.

Max's dad aside, those two would make great telly. It's what made Nico and Lewis' rivalry great, nasty edge in both. Max is nastier again. There would be a lot of cost to both Red Bull and Mercedes though 😂.

{Ed001's Note - it does seem like the cars are becoming closer, but the pink and orange Mercs are going to cause RB problems for the rest of the season by the looks of it.}

I did fear for the future of F1 when Verstappen came along he was so far ahead of the other drivers around his age, however when Leclerc emerged it gave a ray of hope.

I think he has more raw speed than Max, it is just a case of Ferrari getting their act together to challenge Mercedes and RB.

The two of them going at it over the next 10 years in competitive cars could be as good as the Senna v Prost years.
