I have had chance to calm down

I watched the game, a game where the shape was wrong, it was obvious after 10 minutes when we were chasing shadows. So why did it take until half time to make any change? After that 10 mins we saw 35 minutes of non decision making. Then, in the second half, when we needed a goal, two goals more like, the answer for Ole was bringing on like for like. Then he took off players who might have brought us a goal.

We have had many discussions on here, people know what I think, but surely today was a moment, a moment of clarity even for the Ole fan club, that moment of knowledge when you know what the exact issue is.

The issue is Ole and he has to go, go now, go tonight, go tomorrow, go. I want my beloved football club back, the one I supported since 1968. I want to go back to a club which appoints a manager and we deal with them as a manager, not an emotional choice because they scored a goal 21 years ago.

Please, please, please make a decision Woodward, give us back our club, stop the emotional clap trap, sack the failed Cardiff manager before it’s too late.

Totally agree Redman but changing the manager won’t solve the deeper issues. We all know he’s out of his depth but like you say he gets a pass because of that goal. The players are bottle jobs, show ponies and simply not good enough for this great club

There’s only a handful of that squad who I would keep but we’re stuck with them as nobody else wants them or would be stupid enough to pay them silly wages like we do. Some of the decisions made by supposed people at the top of their game is comical.

Two instances for example, who in their right mind would give Phil Jones a 5 year deal and Matic an improved 3 year deal

Beggars belief.

Blackpool Red, said many times there are more problems than the manager, but until there is a change of ownership we can do little. We need to survive, the Ole experiment has to end now. I remember feeling awful when the Sexton situation continued, when we realised Atkinson wasn’t the answer, when they appointed Moyes. They must deal with Ole, now.

We disagree on the Redman, so not intended to start an arguement.

My biggest question is Pogba. Why play him? If you look across the dugout Arsenal have a similar issue in ozil. Should Ole be benching the clubs most expensive player? Big questions to answer. But I have to say, he did just that and got the team playing well. Martial being out, plus Rash's impact at 9 in midweek convinced Ole to put Pogba in wide left. I have to say, many would have done the same. Less def responsibility. Freedom to impact the game. It had a logic.

Unfortunately Pogba didn't get the memo. Was a terrible showing. He lost the ball constantly. Was dispossessed. Allowed bellarin attacking overlaps on Shaw. And then the penalty. To say nothing of his waftish attitude around the pitch.

Where Ole fell down today for me, was to double down on his decision to play Pogba by removing Greenwood and fernandes. Pogba was easily the worst player on the pitch. Greenwood was always likely to make something happen. Bad decision. But for me he still has my support.

A lot of criticism of Ole here after that game and it's completely deserved but all the players today should be ashamed of themselves. No effort, no energy, no creativity. Completely outplayed at old Trafford again. Where is the fire?

I feel and share your frustration redman.
I think a few more penny's will have dropped today.
I don't feel any identity with this team and i blame ole .
As i said last week i can count one one hand the amount of times I've felt real pride in our performance in the last 12 months. The way this team plays they do not represent me as a united supporter nor do the adhere to the club's ethos of never say die, never give up, always try to win. This is Manchester United not Molde or Cardiff for crying out loud.
We have lost more games at home in a month that klopp has in 3 seasons.
Lost half our 6 games winning twice one of them being a complete fluke.
Different shape game after game preferring destructive disruptive players to the more technically gifted.
His clichèd waffle in press conferences is painful to listen to.
He keeps coming back from the brink and is a cat with 9 lives but he must be living on borrowed time now.

Hipocracy is the problem redman, we are low in the league and playing turgid football at home . The problem is you defended the last manager in the same situation playing the same dull stuff and in a similar position table wise .
This season's results aren't good enough issues that were obvious before the season started like we don't have a right hand side are still as clear as day and haven't been addressed or addressed with people who are even likely to play this season .
We are scratching around trying to find a system to get as many big names into the team as possible instead of just choosing a formation and selecting the best side to play it .

Ole will be sacked but how many times does woodward and co have to shaft a manager in the window befpre enough is enough?

Poch will come in and in 18 months he will also be sacked.

I don’t think the club will pull the trigger just yet Red Man and definitely not because you plead on here. I don’t know if I’m a member of the ‘Ole fan club’ you mentioned, I don’t really think there is one on here, just people with different views to yourself and a few others. I’ve been fairly impartial on him really and tried to give him a fair go, especially recently where I felt there were mitigating factors and have tried not to get too carried away on either side of the Ole debate but today maybe I will.

I thought he should have been fired after the Burnley game in January, it was a similar moment to today, his decisions were baffling, there was no plan, but then we got Bruno and suddenly went on that ridiculous run. Every time the pressure is on he gets a win or a few wins and we start again. I think there will need to be a long run of bad form before we see the club take action. The problem is that Ole isn’t a terrible manager and he also isn’t a great manager, he falls somewhere in between and that is why there is such polar opinions, on many occasions he gets it right but on many other occasions he gets it totally wrong. Unfortunately a top manager at a top club with ambitions like we should have has to be getting it right 90% of the time, not 50% of the time.

Ole will always get us some good results but he will also always get us results like today, and that definitely isn’t good enough for united. I gave my opinion 18 months ago that I thought Ole wouldn’t be good enough but would do some good things and leave the club in a much better place than he found it to a better tactical manager who can take us to the next level. I thought that might be by the end of this season but I now think that it has to be sooner, today was once again shambolic and I don’t think I now know any fan who would be gutted if they woke up to the news he’s been sacked in the morning.

Great guy and no doubt he is trying his best and doing some great things for the club but I now agree that his time has to be close to being up. The problem is that we will probably now beat Everton next weekend and this whole cycle will start again, we know he can get good results, but he is never going to get us to where we want to be whilst he is so inconsistent and I think 2 years of inconsistency is enough to prove that it’s not going to change. Whilst I would love it if he could get us to where we want to be I think it is now time we move on.

That's a fair post gds2.
Its very unusual that most adulterers are not aligned when the ace eventually falls on any manager.
But some see it earlier than others on here.
Besst was calling for lvg after 6 weeks. He took a lot of stock for it but he was right.
Many like myself never wanted jose but when he came i really wanted him too succeed and i shuttered him long after others had seen the inevitable.
Ole has done some good things along with the owners and board he had belied assemble a good squad.
He has also done some not so good things and i feel has abandoned many of the club's principles in terms of how we approach the game. He had an underdog mentality. He was an underdog as a player in many ways so its no surprise. He speeches games with a cardiff or molde mentality and that's not how this club should be operating its not the way this club was built. He is destroying that. Most other fans now see us as a laughing stock nit so much under jose because we were winning or competing.

I don’t remember cheating on my wife ken 😉.

I wouldn’t say I’ve suddenly decided today he needs to go, I can see the good and the bad and think it may have got to a point where it isn’t going to improve as much as I would like it to. I’m not going to be on here slagging him off at every opportunity as I don’t think he will go any time soon, although I may be wrong, he doesn’t appear to be under any pressure from the board at this moment.

As I said, if he got sacked nobody would be devastated and that speaks volumes, there are 20 managers out of work who could do better, I don’t actually think Poch is the ideal man either, but he won’t do any worse.

Fair posts GDS. I don't think it will happen for some time yet though. They will give him every chance to put a run together and continue to hobble on.
