Quick question would anyone swap the two victories in the Champions League for two defeats in the Premier League meaning we'd have 13 points in the league, be joint third with a game in hand but have no points in the Champions League?!

Maybe just me but I've always preferred winning the Premier league to anything else, obvs great nights winning CL but we need to start competing for the bread and butter domestically. All well and good on 6 points in CL and we most likely will qualify but we are not good enough to win it bar a miracle draw.

WRD - If we win our game in hand and considering our current form it's by no means a forgone conclusion but that would give us 10 points and put us back in the mix for a top 4 finish.

It's been an awful start but we still have time to recover. I'm obviously completely writing off a title challenge it's a disgrace that it's over again after only 6 games but even if we won the game in hand that would still leave us 6 points behind Liverpool! Spurs have also quietly amassed 14 points which is concerning and we simply can't afford many more slip ups already.

I think it would a decent achievement to qualify from that Champions League group and it always nice to be involved in knock out football especially at the highest level come February and March. Having said that we've not even qualified yet and things can change quickly!

On balance and considering I didn't think we had any chance of winning the league anyway I'd probably stick with the two wins in the Champions League!

We need to be getting results in the league and find form there before any other competition.

sorry but what is the point of the OP, we may as well ask if Gandalf played for us, would we have won all our games!

We have a hobbit for a manager so why not Gandalf at centre half, although I think that's probably playing him out of position.
