I think the core issue with the team currently is that we have no set style of play. If you look at Liverpool and Manchester City and other big teams in Europe they play their football. It is up to opposing teams to find ways to stop them by trying to have a game plan. Sometimes it works and lower league teams set up correctly and get a result. But in essence the top teams don’t change how they play football and they dictate play.

If we look at the games towards the end of last season after the break we had a style of play, the team rarely changed and he stuck by it, it delivered results and goals. Since the summer break that identity has gone and now I think Ole is desperate. He is appearing to change the team dependent on the opposition and this is allowing them to set the tempo.

I’m not defending some of the players because we do have some dead wood, but we also have some very good players. I think a lot of the time our players don’t have a clue what to do on the pitch because the game plan keeps changing – Which comes down to bad coaching and tactics. We should be dictating the play and the setting the tempo of the game (like Arsenal did against us) and the opposition should be setting up to play against us. This hasn’t been happening and Ole is now showing how terrible of a tactician he is and is failing.

I agree with everything you said. Ole loves the team, has a good plan in his mind (young English players etc. ), but he is not capable of learn them a proper playing style, because he does not know it either. Unfortunately, he is a low-level manager, probably for league one. The team has a lot of talent but it has weaknesses too. So an experienced manager's job is to cover them by exploiting all the advantages of the whole squad. Hope Pochettino has what it takes to do this at this stage.

I agree with you. I don't think he knows what he wants to play. He seems to want to try and prove he can outsmart these other big clubs (PSG / Leipzig) but fails at the simple things.

You know what you want kurtis. I know what i want. But i'm not qualified to do the job nor are you. Nor does Ole.
Knowing what you want and being able to do it are 2 very different things.

This is a job. If you are failing to deliver in practice something you know in theory then I would question the individuals ability.

So I agree, Ole isn't qualified.
