Couldn't watch the game last night but did watch the highlights for the two goals.

I do agree that both Ole, the coaching staff and the players have to take a long, hard look at themselves. It almost feels like this bunch only steps up when they are pushed again the wall and told they will be culled if we don't win. That is definitely not a winning mentality.

I suppose the football club as a whole has major systemic issues which have brought us here.

It can't be ignored that even some of the better recruits have regressed and their performance levels seem to have been brought down by the collective levels of their team mates.

I wonder and would love to hear from the others and the Eds.

Would we be in a better place if Ole never got the job full time back in 2019? If yes, who would have done a better job of steadying the ship?

Would we doing better now if the board had backed Ole in the market wholeheartedly instead of all those last minute panic deals after the 1-6 defeat to Spurs?

Who do you think would do a good job at the club at this point also taking into consideration that not much is going to change in the upper echelons of the club (Woodward/ Judge/ Glazers)?

The decision to give a 30-plus midfielder in Matic, on the back of a decent run of games, a 3-year extension was absurdly weird. Keeping Pogba. And the inability to move on Romero, Jones, and Rojo. Does this tell the players that we are run amateurs and that they can get away with similar performances on the pitch?

I am not calling for Ole to be sacked but things are gradually turning ugly for him at the moment. Maybe, this inspires the team to go on a run. If it doesn't and he does indeed get the pink slip, we can't afford to have a fifth manager go through the same cycle all over again wherein we see a glimmer of hope only to have it crashing due to a series of cumulative events.

Hoping for the best!

I can tell you right away that ole didn't get the job and you hired ancellotti instead you'd definitely be better off. I was shocked united didn't just throw the chequebook at him when he was available.
