Great match and result today.
Ward prowse did us with exceptional dead ball delivery apart from that they created very little.
I thought tad unlucky to go on 2 down but good sub nice and early changed the game. Dvb has been our best player in the last 2 matches and makes a huge difference as does telles .
Nobody can play every game but those 3 and bruno have to start as many as possible for me.
A proper cf makes a huge difference imo nobody else in our squad scores that last goal.
We have the players to compete to win the biggest trophies. They need to play and be allowed to play. Cavani dvb and telles are serial winners they know what it takes get them out there as often as possible they make a huge difference.
A win or even a draw midweek would be massive and allow ole to concentrate on the league for a bit.
It can't go unsaid that a new record of 8 away wins on the bounce was set today. Great achievement big thumbs up.
Ddg may be out for a bit and henderson may get his chance. Imo he has big shoes to fill. I hope he takes his opportunity.

Yesterday was a great show of character Ken.
The never give up attitude is in the soul of the club and therefore the victory was even more sweet.

Some toxics at half time wanted us to watch F1 lol :)

Only negative was seeing Telles hobble off the pitch and DVB's swollen ankle.
We have some momentum now and the best players should remain fit.

Has telles really made a huge difference, he was ok today I'm not sure he was great same midweek. Lads not played much, didn't really get any game time during the international break . So will need a few games to be fair to him .
Thats 4 wins in a row now, 8 away wins in a row that's with different players, starting line ups and tactics .
Definitely an improvement since the start of the season when we where clearly undercooked and things are starting to come together.
Tough game against psg midweek does ole go with the team and tactics that have already beat them in what was also a very good performance?

Jred on telles- he gives the opponents something else to think about. His crossing (especially if cavani is playing) will yield chances and his dead ball delivery is superb. We haven't had that sort of crossing threat in a long long time. I also think he’s done okay defensively so far- early days but from what I’d read that’s something that concerned me.
Not been outstanding yet- but I can see he’s a real player.

Important thing is we play well as a team and we continue to improvevas s team .

The one thing for me that has been there the whole way through the Ole reign is that the players are trying. At no point has any player looked like they are ringing it in. They always work hard, and push to play and try and get something from matches even when the chips are down.

When we were being destroyed by Spurs the players didn't let their heads dropped and kept pushing. Which is a dramatic improvement from the final 6 months of the previous manager where it was obvious that the relationship between the manager and the players had broken down and the players didn't give their all.

On Telles, I thought he indicated a groin problem just before he came off, if so he may be out for a couple of weeks. As to what he does, decent when sitting in line with the other defenders deep. Noticeably better when they push him up when we try to be more positive. He is better there. First half he was deep, second pushed up a bit, more positive and made a difference.

On the team playing for Ole. Talked about this a few times, apparently the players like him, will play for him but don’t see him as a top coach, so that extra percentage may not come to win things.

We must give some credit to Fred as well, he has been working so hard for the team.

I think Fred is a good player who is getting better and better which a consistent run in the team.

He is often derided over his passing, which while not the most expansive isn't as bad as if often made out. Yesterday he attempted 74 passes (more than anyone else on the pitch) and he had a pass completion rate of 94.6% (again the highest of any player on the pitch) .

That was definitely aided by us having four midfielders on the pitch meaning he always had either Matic behind him, Donny alongside him or Bruno in front of him as a passing option. But it should be remembered that you don't play Fred for his passing, but for his pressing and ability to disrupt the opposition and win back the ball. Of which no midfielder for either side made more tackles than Fred while only Matic and Romeu made more interceptions.

Spot on, i would only have him for his defensive abilities and work rate.

Fred had a decent game yesterday especially second half.

Becks, for me Fred is an important squad player. Someone you need for certain games but not all. He offers you something different, but is probably not quite well rounded enough as a footballer to be a starter every week for a side aiming to win titles.

That's fine, we need players like Fred in the squad. Players who offer something different rather than just being a poorer version of someone in the starting 11. They allow tactical changes and shifts either on a game by game basis or off the bench to change the flow of a game.

For me moving forward we need to settle on who is the third man in our midfield to partner Donny and Bruno. We could either go for a pure DM who'll sit and protect the back four and break up everything in front of them. To do that though you will need two ball playing CB's to play the ball out and dictate the game. Or you go with a deeplying playmaker to control the tempo, and go with defenders who defend first, pass out from the back second.

We have Garner who could develop into that deeplying playmaker type player, but no one for the pure DM.

It really depends on how the manager wants the team to play.
