Firstly great result, second credit to Ole for tactics, wasn't sure about the team but it worked very well, though we matched their attitude and passion. Only concern even at 4-1 up l was still on edge. We just can't defend, it looked like AWB was coming central to cover their free man all day and leaving a free player outside. They had so many chances, we really need a CB who can organize and control the entire back line, if we can just tighten at the back we could be very consistent as our attacking play at times it fantastic.

I heard Scott McTominay being compared to Paul Scholes numerous times today, and even a blend of Scholes and Roy Keane. The lad had a decent game for sure, but his name does not belong in a sentence with either of the others and likely never will.

It was decent to see the squad depth, we seem to have 3-4 midfield configurations. None of the midfielders at our disposal are world class (Pogba can be but lacks other traits).

They're all quite young too, Matic/ Mata aside, so I assume will be sticking around, although the inevitable sales of Matic and Mata to Spain/ Italy and resolution of the Pogba carnival will necessitate at least one coming in. Still Saul for me.

Neville got carried away today but Scott was excellent, he was box to box, energy, drive, and goals. He’s still developing and will hopefully continue to progress. He also gives 100% every game and it means something to him.

McSauce came off with a groin strain. A strain caused by a hard on since the 3rd minute 😂.

Spenno, I class Fernandes as a midfielder and he is definitely world class mate.

Indeed he is world class Seagull. In fact Utd’s best signing post-Fergie. I was really thinking of the traditional central mids but I worded it dreadfully so point taken.
