If Utd do not beat Liverpool tomorrow because they are too passive there will be two reasons why: either Ole chose the wrong tactics or the players did not perform to the necessary level.

Either way it would be criminal to waste such an opportunity. Liverpool are not the force they were last season and the defensive injuries they have is a weakness Utd should really exploit. If Utd cannot beat Liverpool it means we are not good enough to win the title and will hand the initiative to City who have shown they are up for it.

As weak as Liverpool may seem to be defensively, we all know that we are prone to mistakes at the back which can be exploited. I ain't getting my hopes up just to be disappointed if things don't go as planned. I hope they don't go into this game thinking it will be easy because of issues in defence.

Salford. You are right it is a great opportunity. I agree they are not the force of last. To put 6 points between us at the half way stage would be great. It also heaps pressure on them.
A draw would be a good result too. Imo.

Oh yeah, I'd take a draw all day long. Can't go playing for it though, our defence isn't good enough, out greatest defence is our attack. I'm worried Ole doesn't see that though and will play for a draw and just try to nick a goal on the break, but I think that plays into their hands.

Bit of an overreaction there already.

We can lose tomorrow and still win the league. The same goes for Liverpool.

I just hope we turn up. And then win, lose or draw we can say we put in a performance.

Liverpool are favourites. They still have their first choice folk backs and a first team CB. The injury to VVD has been made out like they’ve lost half of their team.

I remember a season where an Eric Cantona literally carried the team for a good dozen games. Won lots of them 1-0, which means of course the defence did their part too, but he was the one supplying the magic at the other end.
