Good result tonight against one of our bogey teams, yes they had injuries and had a man sent off early BUT to take them apart like we did and score like we did was very satisfying. It's not easy to beat a team like that even with a man down so I'm sure everyone is pleased tonight. Also what a real shot in the arm after two poor performances, the result, performance and style of tonight could be huge, we are a confidence team and tonight will have it sky high.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone, next up the toffees 👍🤣.

Great result of course. let's retain a sense of perspective though as we played a team missing NINE first team players who then lost a man after less than 2 minutes.

If we go and win our next ten matches then we can get excited.

The hunger and desire, this is something our players should express in all the matches.

The most impressive thing was that even at 4-0 at half time they could have just relaxed and cruised through the second half. They didn't, they kept going till the 90+ minute.
Was this a reaction to Ole saying the team could be too nice and we needed to be more ruthless, hopefully.

Salford mate, which 9 first team players? Ward Prowse, Ings, Adams, Bednarek, McCarthy, Armstrong, Bertrand, are all 1st team players.

What I don't understand is the time added on, 3 minutes after 2 lengthy VAR checks?

Mbd, it’s like they took pity on Southampton. Which is not on when some of us had 10-0 bets on!

mbd,

Quite often when a game is out of sight the ref won’t add much time on just to save the losing team any extra embarrassment. It annoys me a bit but no more than any other game when they just make a random amount of time up.

Some posts today sum this site up, we matched the record ever win to go level on points with city and people still can’t get excited because as always when we win the opposition weren’t great. This wasn’t just a win it was a total annihilation, teams with against 10 men all the time and don’t score 9 goals. I’m over the moon.

Wolves struggled against Arsenal who had 10 and then 9.

Shhh, don't highlight that on the same day we win 9-0 (almost entirely due to the opposition being reduced to 10 men then 9 men in the last few minutes) that it happened to another side and they only managed a 2-1 win.
