Hi Ed - OGS suggesting Pogba may sign a new deal today. PR games from the manager or any truth in the matter in your view?

I don't see why Pogba would sign a new deal. He, his agent and his family have all stated his preference to move to another club. United have turned down approaches for him from Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus. Much to Pogba's annoyance.

This summer he'll have a year on is contract with the option of moving this summer for a fee, or in the summer of 2022 when he'll be 29 for a free and a huge signing on fee, probably something in the region of 40m, but that's just speculation.

So his options are move this summer, move next summer and pocket a fortune, or sign a new deal at the club that has refused to sell you and where you are unhappy.

This saga will rumble on as long as the club make his exit awkward.

I’ll be glad when the pogba saga is finally over, good player on his day, but is he good enough to put up with all the drama he brings? (especially his agent) . If he plays well until the summer it would be smart to let him go and probably best for all parties.
