Ole going with his favourites at the back yet again. Lindelof maguire and DeGea have let him down before, will they again?

Exactly - would say can’t believe Bailly is not playing, but sadly it is to be expected and that will be Ole’s downfall as those 3 are not good enough to win anything.

Not fair to lump De Gea in with the other two. He may not be at his absolute best, but it is not at all clear that Henderson is the better choice. What is clear though is that Bailly is head and shoulders above Maguire and Lindelof. The choice there should be for his partner - and for my part I think that should be Tuanzebe or Lindelof. Maguire is too much of a problem right now, especially when defending set plays due to this tendency to stand 2 yards behind the others in higher pressure situations.

So what? This isn't to say they are useless players, or that we can't get good results now and then with them. It's whether we're better off with other players. I'd also argue that with Bailly we can play a higher line more confidently, and so a higher press, which usually results in more goals from our team.

Agree that they played well today. But that doesn't change the strong belief that I think many here share that Bailly is the better player and we're generally a better team with him in it.

Maguire is a lumox. He plays as an individual. He doesn't think about the position of other players in the team.

Week in, week out he drops deep and plays the opposition onside.

Lindelof and Maguire need to go. But there be a significant loss when it comes to the sale of Maguire.

Chelseas attack today is not the standard by which our defence should be judged. Their attack was as toothless as ours. PSG put our defence to the sword. A top team will generally beat us if they have a real go. Our midfield and defence are not good enough.

I'm not a fan of Maguire and feel if we are to be genuine title challengers we need better than him as a starting CB.

Yet today he did little to anything wrong. At the home of a top four rivals he along with the rest of our defence kept a clean sheet.

I don't think you can ask much more than that from them.

We didn't lose today, but we didn't win because we were unable to create any great chances and we didn't take the chances we did create.

With a young front line (Rashford 23, Martial 25, James 22 and Greenwood 19) form is likely to fluctuate and consistency will be a problem. Sadly atm all our forwards are out of form at the same time.

Keeping Bruno and Cavani fit and in form for most games will likely be the difference between success and failure this season.
