A different angle on the 'is Ole the right man' debate.

If/ when he is sacked, where will his next job be? I am 99% certain that clubs of our size on the Continent wouldn't consider him for a second, not would any top club in this country. That for me speaks volumes.

I'd be surprised if any of the 20 PL clubs ask for his services.

{Ed077's Note - If OGS were to be sacked I don't see him getting his next job in England that's for sure.}

How does that work with previous managers? Moyes next job was Real Sociedad, his next job in England was Sunderland. LvG never go another job and Jose is at Spurs (Last season he finish 6th on 59 points, this year he has them comfortably 8th joint on points with Villa on 39 so far) .

Very few managers are sacked from a top job and walk straight back into a top job, they normally have to take a step down and proven themselves again.

Top managers move seamlessly from club to club but they are the elite. Jose pep carlo tuchel klopp wtc.

Shappy you really do talk nonsense at times.

Ken is spot on, top managers move seamlessly. Tuchel, sacked by PSG and employed at Chelsea for example.

Or maybe Fresh is right and we simply hadnt top managers. That's why they didn't get top jobs after us.

Poch sacked by Spurs and took astep down to PSG. O wait.

The only place he gets a job is Norway or some place where football isn’t the first sport like India.

Does the fact that LVG never got another go or that mourinho had to settle for spurs fly in the face of the narrative that they were top coaches WHEN they came to the club.

Look at Pochettino, sacked from spurs, obtains one of the best jobs in european football.

I've got a question for all of you ole outers, who takes the reins and improves us? We're currently sat 2nd in the league when not many had us finishing in the top 4. I think if certain players performed more consistently we could be challenging city, ole picks the team but he can't be held accountable for players personal performances and injuries.

Managers are accountable for performance, they are in the real world too. They’re also accountable for injuries, Ole picks the team and does stupid things like Bruno starting in a second leg of a European game that we are leading 4-0. There’s a lot of blame at his door.

I was pilloried, yet again for criticising the team selection for Sociedad after we had four away goals. He doesn’t rest players in games, doesn’t make early substitutions. Now we are tired and it isn’t poor Ole’s fault.

Ole is accountable as manager.

"ole picks the team but he can't be held accountable" - I would love to be the manager then. I didn't know being manager was so easy, just pick the team and let them do the job on the pitch with zero accountability.

Sounds like a great job to me. Just wondering under such a manager what would be the role for assistants and coaches.

{Ed077's Note - the assistants will obviously be expected to come up with new ideas in the established Chess openings. Novelties. The end goal would be to topple Magnus Carlsen🤣🤣}

Ed077 🤣🤣. "expected to come up with new ideas" - already Ole is on the back foot. I hope Magnus Carlsen doesn't mind though.

{Ed077's Note - I'm sure Magnus will be lenient and forgiving against his country mate.😂}

Ed077, in that case it will be a stalemate I guess. I am wondering what would Ole's strategy be.

{Ed077's Note - Magnus will just take the match into Rapid and Blitz 🤣}

Ed077, Ole already in defense and waiting to counter attack 🤣🤣.

{Ed077's Note - Magnuson will get him in time trouble and squeeze the life out of him in the endgame then}

Ed077 very likely. Woodward is impressed by Magnus and offers him a managerial role.

Magnus - "I am not eligible for the job"
Woodward - "Don't worry, neither am I"
Ole and the Fans - "What's going on? "
Woodward - "We do what nobody else can. Let's party"

{Ed077's Note - at least Magnus is good in the FPL.😜

Ed077 at least a lot more fun I guess 😉.

{Ed077's Note - if you want fun,you need Dubov.
