Please, please someone send the ManU coaching staff the video of this Chelsea/ Liverpool first half.

Both sides are willing to go direct, over the top of the high defensive line. Neither side counters by going to midfield and then turning around and playing the ball back allowing the defense to set up.

I've always thought one of the most over rated aspects of football is time of procession. Who gives a crap if you're not doing anything to go forward when you have the ball. Are we the only team that constantly plays 2 in front of the back four?

Yes we are currently second, God only knows how, but we can utilize our speed much more than we do.

We play two in front of the back four because the coach is terrified of what might happen if he leaves the defense to it own devices.

What they should do is move Matic into CB, Maguire as DM, McT as the box to box midfielder with Bruno as the playmaker. Bruno also needs to be rested for a few matches.
Up front move Greenwood to the left, Marcus to the right.

Yes, Maguire in midfield with Fred behind him. If Maguire can stop the opposition by bulldozing them great otherwise Fred is anyway there to protect 🤣.
