Does anyone share my concerns about Greenwood. Last season he was on fire but is literally so off the pace this.

He seems to have lost the electric burst of pace that he had and too often fails to play a killer pass when in the penalty area or look like he is going to score.

I want him to succeed. Is it fitness, confidence or something else which is holding him back.

Hes had a reslly tough time outside of football, he lost a. friend, he needs to be given some slack

We can see the player in him i don't have any concerns about mason.

Salford 7

I would question the structure, where he fits in it and the aims of our set up in part answer to your question.

Where is Greenwood receiving the ball, what is he being coached to do, what are the players in his area on the pitch being asked to do to create space to get him in, how are the forward players coached to create space, have runners from midfield, how deep is he receiving it?

He receives it wide but our play is pass it back into the middle, give it Bruno and hope. Last season he seemed to be coming in to the box from around the corner of the 18 yard area at an angle, now he seems wider or deeper.

Maybe he is struggling on the weight of expectation but the talent was certainly there.

I don't concern just yet. Last few months he is our best player upfront even if he doesn't score. Of course i would like him to score some goals too but as Red Man says he must find himself inna scoring position in order to score . I don't think his movements are bad so maybe it is the team.

Plenty of young players struggle to replicate their immediate success in the second and third years. Greenwood may have failed to hit the highlights this season but there is evidence of his growth as a team player. It's way too early to even consider giving up on him. I think he will come good.

I really hope he does prosper. Seeing a player step up ftom youth to first team action and doing well is part of Utd's dna.

I hope he is being given all the support both emotionally and playing wise.

what is the point of a centre forward when they are starved of srevice. cavani puts most to shame work wise.

Three reasons in my opinion.

1.) he's 19, player development isn't always linear, there will be bumps in the road unless you are haaland or mbappe generational talent level.

2.) Our attacking setup isn't the best, we rely a lot on individual brilliance to get us goals as opposed to patterns of play.

3.) he's had off field troubles which have impacted him earlier on in the season.

DSG hits the nail on the head. Nothing to worry about.
