So do you want to wait until he is found guilty or are you going to appoint yourself jury and executioner?
Thankfully in this part of the world there is presumed innocence until proven guilty.
I think you are a tad early in wanting to right off a club legends history and contrbution.
Is being guilty of drink driving enough for you to write of someone's contribution? Tax evasion? Aggregvated assault? If so its going to be a long list of players you want to eradicate from our history.
If giggs is guilty his reputation will be tarnished (it already has been no doubt) but for a crime committed 5 years after his last club appointment I would see no reason to wipe him from our history.
I don't condone violence but I also try no to condemn innocent people until proven otherwise.

What I find funny is that in modern society we seem unable to consider someone's achievements and the person they are. We seem to intrinsically link the two. Like you can't achieve great things without being a great person. Which of course is absolute bull.

Many great things have been achieved by horrible people. As a society we need to be able to revere the achievement without idolising the person.

Ryan Giggs achievements in a United shirt will never be undone, and rightly for his footballing talent he'll be remembered as a great footballer for our club.

However, his actions off the pitch suggest he probably isn't the nicest of people. Cheating with his brothers wife, while currently accused of violence against women, for which he may or may not be convicted.

As people we are complex, and we are everything that we do, say and think. Great achievements do not wipe the slate clean of bad deeds, likewise bad deeds do not invalidate great achievements.

Every club has countless. We’ve had best and Rooney for example. There’s a reason they say never meet your hero’s.

Met my hero Bruce Springsteen and very nice he was too. But take your point, Caolan, in their respective fields Giggsy, Best, Rooney Mike Tyson, Van Morrison, countless others have that "flawed genius " stamp, probably better revered from a distance.

Ed077 probably only said what a lot of people feel in anger but thankfully I don't live in a world like that.
I can bet that lots of folk will be up in arms but I'd suggest that many are part of what's app groups that have seen pics or comments made demeaning women and have laughed at them. So just taking their moral compass and pointing it where its acceptable to them not on what's socially acceptable. Lots of town clocks here with lots of faces.

{Ed077's Note - more in disappointment than anger ken ( but a bit of anger too). I don't like "Man Utd legend" being mentioned every other sentence. Like Shappy said, him as a player and his achievements at MUFC has nothing to do with it.

Ed I'm sure plenty will come out that is very unpleasant and unsavoury at best and Ryan may well find himself abandoned by sponsors and fans alike and will find it hard to rebuild any sort of personal reputation. So much has been revealed already about his private life its a wonder that anybody could trust him or much of what he says.
Made the most of his talents on the pitch but not a person I admire off the pitch at all I think we can both agree on that.
