Hello Ed's,

Which position within the team is seen as the main priority for strengthening in the transfer window?

Johnstone Varane Laimer and Neto/ Sancho would make me happy. Add Pogstay and Cavani that would be a good summer
For fantasy I would replace Fred with Bissouma. Don’t see it happening though.

Ed002 - that's a pretty expensive shopping list if going for quality in all though positions - wouldn't for a moment disagree that its needed but could you think the megabucks could/ will be available after the last 18 months?
I suppose that a few million could be offset by sales as we have a lot of players not getting minutes on big pay deals.

{Ed002's Note - Well at least 2 of the 4 first team GKs are leaving in the summer and even if they promote one then they will still need one. If either of the other two leave then the club will need to look at the higher end. TFM left without being replaced and I am told by someone close to the situation that there is no suitable replacement in the U23s. I expect at least Jones to depart and the stand out youngster Lukasz Bejger has gone. So A decent CB is needed - and that might be the big spend of the summer. In midfield something needs to happen with regards vDB, Lingard, Mata and PP. So I can see an addition. The club need to see if the two youngsters who arrived last summer meet their RW needs or if they need to return to screwing around over Sancho or looking again at their huge list of other options. The club will look to keep Cavani to save money on buying a replacement - but that might be a false economy.}
