Have United looked at Inter Milan's Lautaro Martinez as a CF option? Heavily rumoured last year to be Barcelona bound but they're clearly skint and limited to free transfers seemingly. Are we not still owed a big chunk of the Lukaku deal by Inter? They look in disarray with Conte leaving after their Chinese owners financial problems being unveiled. Putting 2+2 together obviously but it is less of a financial burden than going for a Kane or Haaland. I see those at City and Chelsea just not sure which way around. Clearly we should be in for both of those but we all know that despite weeks on end of being linked with them in future we are unlikely to even bid formally.

We have martial at bench.
He's an upcoming striker who will score loads of goals and is getting better and better.
I think we need 1-2 more signings with no wholesale changes to improve the squad and consolidate top 4 finish.

I would love to see Lautaro Martinez at OT. He is not quite the finished article but will be helped by Cavani being around to hone his skills. Maybe, Inter could help us out by taking Martial off our hands too.

With Phil Jones getting fit next year, he's almost like a new CB signing which means we don't have to delve into the transfer market to get a CB. More money saved.

If both harland and kane sign somewhere new in prem and utd misses on both of them due to 1 more year of cavani we will regret it for 5 years plus.
