Morning All.
Ed - any update on Varane / Torres? Few reports this morning that a bid for Varane is imminent and that the player is keen to join United? Can we not scratch Torres off?

According to Fabrizio, Varane's representatives are happy with the personal terms and Man Utd will make a bid, think Varane is due back in Madrid the first week of August.

If history has taught us anything it is that Varane will probably pitch up at Old Trafford in 2023, dust off the bunting.

A quick summary seems to be that Varane personal terms aren't an issue, Real/ Carlo want to meet him before he decides, new contract from Real is an option, player seems to be open to Utd and has been in touCh with Rio. Neil Custis says it will be done next week.

If we pull off Varane we will all be very happy, what a signing he will be. Feels very much like a missing piece. Definite star quality and suddenly our back line looks elite with him in there.
